My husband and I are going back and forth on this! He is saying that the Hoop dee do revue is the same thing as mickey's backyard BBQ. I say they are two different things. Neither one of us has done it before we were looking in to do it.

So can anyone straighten us out? Lol

If they are different ( I TOTALLY think I'm right! Lol) which one would be better for teenagers?

They are two totally different things! Hoop Dee Doo Revue is a corny comedy song and dance show and Mickey's Backyard BBQ is a dance party with characters. Both are at Fort Wilderness (I think Mickey's is in the campground area) and both have all you can eat BBQ. We haven't done Mickey's, but our kids loved HDDR (but they were 10 and 8 not teens). It is definitely corny, but that was perfect for our kids.

I think the only thing similar between the two is the food. With your husband's logic, Flame Tree BBQ (in AK) and Hoop Dee Doo are exactly the same. Which makes no sense, which means he's wrong! LOL.

Yup - two different things, you win!

For teenagers, it's not even close - definitely do Hoop de doo. DS, who is 4, loves Mickey's Backyard BBQ, but it is for little kids. Your teens wouldn't be impressed, and the food is pretty crappy.

Two totally different shows. I would do hoopdeedoo with teens. Mickeys backyard BBQ is more for younger kids.

Totally different and Hoop Dee Do Revue would be great for teens. We love the show and food. Mickeys backyard BBQ is a character dance outside under a Pavillon. Don't think teens would be as interested IMO.

Our kids (11 and 15 at the time) loved the Hoop Dee Doo Revue as corny as it is. They didn't want to go, they said it's for little kids , it stupid, ect...

They were laughing the entire time, loved the food, and made it a point to tell us we were (GASP) right and it was fun

I've never done the BYBBQ, but the HDDR was a lot of fun...and I've gone without kiddies. Plus the food was really good. I am sure your fam will enjoy either one. :)

OP, you're right! :cheer2::dance3::cool1::banana::yay:

I'm so glad to hear all of the positive remarks about HDDR. We're doing it for the first time next week!
