I'm not an atheist and I'm not a zealot. I don't think everyone needs to live in accordance with my beliefs. The vast majority of people who believe as I do would defend to the death the right of a Jew or Christian or Muslim to practice their religion as they see fit, as long as that doesn't infringe on the rights of someone else to practice their religion as they see fit. Zealotry, by contrast, says that because the zealot believes something should be a certain way, it must be that way, even if that means forcing other people to comply, people who do not subscribe to the same beliefs as the zealot.
