First time to Disney in 15 yrs (and now with kids)...staying at Pop Century
4 adults, 4 kids ages 3-7 not into "fancy" dinners & using free dining plan which would be 5 dinners and 5 counter services per person..yippee!

arrive on Sat. Sept 3rd dinner at Chef Mickey's
Sunday (play day)
breakfast at Wilderness .....fun?
then to Downtown Disney for shopping using a counter service at??
back to Pop Century for swimming and counter service at hotel
Monday (Labor Day)....Animal Kingdom
breakfast in room (not using plan)
lunch counter service Tusker House??
dinner counter service at AK or back at hotel
Tuesday ...MGM?
breakfast in room
lunch at 50's Primetime
dinner at Hollywood and Vine (hoping for fantasmic show pkg)
Wed....Magic Kingdom?
breakfast in room
lunch at Crystal Palace
dinner counter service Cosmic Rays (deciding to do lunch or dinner at these 2 places...doesn't matter..comments?)

Thursday...departing for cruise

I'm sure you realize that you are using 2 counter services meals each on Sunday and Monday and no table service meals?

The rest sounds great! We also plan to eat at the same restaurants you've chosen for Tuesday and Wednesday, including H & V for the Fantasmic Dinner Package. Have you started making PS's yet?

When you say Thursday ... departing for cruise - are you going on the Disney cruise? If so, ENJOY! We went in 2002 and it was the best vacation we've ever taken.

As for your choices, of your list, we've only done 50's PTC and it is our favorite place. It is good, "normal" food - good for picky eaters and we love the fun atmosphere there.

It looks like you are doing only 4 table service restaurants and 6 counter service. The counter service is okay if you are sharing on some so that you can get that "extra" breakfast cs on your last day. But you should throw in another table service. Perhaps on your AK day, head over to AKL for dinner at Boma's?

Edited to add: I think I see your 5th TS - breakfast at WCC? Can't comment on that one since I've never been....

I'd suggest Boma as well and perhaps switching the Wilderness Lodge to the evening when I think there are more folks and most have more time without the rush to get to the parks.

We actually combine AK and MGM on the same day but since we don't ride ToT or RRRC then we can do it easily enough.
