Please recommend a budget-friendly east coast beach

Another vote here for VA beach and the Outter Banks NC.....we prefer kill devil hills and Nags head in the outter banks, but Duck and Corolla looked nice too. We go to VA beach almost every year and I love it as it is a home away from home and I love Beach Street USA (which is basically the free nightly entertainment).
