Please Read... the Tag Fairy is very upset

I don't think that folks who have asked or begged or thanked the tag faires need to feel bad or be apologetic. I'm sure the tag fairies understand that you were hopeful, excited, happy, thankful, appreciative or whatever. They also understand that new users don't necessarily understand how it can get out of hand. See, the problem isn't that people are doing anything wrong, it's just that with so many users logging onto the DIS everyday, even a small thing can get out of hand very quickly.

So, if you have done these things in the past, I don't think you need to apologize or feel bad, I'm sure the tag fairies are very understanding. We all just need to understand the tag fairie workload they must be under and try and help them in anyway we can. They suffer from little tag fairie stress much like the stress we deal with everyday. We wouldn't want their little hearts to give out on them and find out that the latest dropping is the poor little fairies themselves.

John, did you see your Tag... Gotta love that TAG FAIRY. I agree, it is way out of hand, I want to extend an open offer to the TAG FAIRIES...If you want to rant and complain. If you want to smile and see us sing your praises... come by the TAGLIARCHY. We will sing your praises and comfort you. There is always Chocolate (We have it on Tap) Plenty of Hugs, oh, and LOTS OF COLORS. It was voted most colorful thread on the Dis.

Everyone else is welcome too. No one is mean over there. Come one come all!

LOL! Yeah, I spotted it yesterday afternoon. When I chose to call them "Tag Fairy Droppings", I somehow knew it was going to come back and haunt me.

Whewww... Thanks so much Crissup. The feeling I was getting from most of the posts was that I (meaning someone who had asked, clapped, begged, bribed, and/or believed for a tag) had somehow become offensive to others on the DIS. I would never have gone out of my way for a tag if I didn't believe that it wasn't in keeping with the spirit of tag fairies.

Quite frankly I do very little tagging. What is amazing is not just the begging, clapping threads people have gone as far as to find my instant messenger, email and private message to ask for tags!! I have had to go so far as to block someone from my IM because they wouldn't give up.

That IS out of control. I didn't mean disrespect to you Alex. Just couldn't understand why the Tag Fairies wouldn't want to be appreciated.

By the way, I didn't ask for my tags or ask for what they say. If they feel the need to take them away, so be it.

Based on Alex's answer of 30 seconds to tag, and assuming that the tag fairies did not have to come up with anything original, and based on the fact that we have 61,013 members, I just did the math, and 1 tag fairy working nonstop would have to work

without stopping to give everyone a tag--and that would be without reading any of the threads. Any of you want to give up that kind of time in your life?
