Hmmmm... I might have a problem with the sarcastic posts. Okay, Alex, now when you give 10 points for argumentative or sarcastic posts, you mean sarcasm to the point that it will hurt someone's feelings or make them uncomfortable? Or just sarcasm in general? I would never intentionally hurt someone's feelings, or make them uncomfortable, BUT..... I tend to be a little sarcastic, but in a funny way. Just want to make sure I won't be banned.

Oh, and one more thing..... are you the tag fairy? I won't tell, I promise!

Interesting. I'm looking forward to see if the powers that be here can manage to enforce this with level-headed fairness.

What about previously banned members who were banned without reaching the magic 100 point level? It seems that some were banned because the webmaster(s)/owners just didn't like them. I know of several who received no warning, no notice, they were just *poofed*.

Please don't take this as an attack. I'm genuinely interested.

A question about keeping to the subjects of the boards. Recently, it seems the mods had more control as to what can stay, and what should be moved, etc. It's come up several times on the budget board lately. I have no problem with OT posting, because it doesn't affect me. Will the mods still have that control? More curious than anything.

Well, that makes sense. Some of my favorite posters have been banned at one time or another for a rash of temper or foolishness.

The rule seems pretty clear to me...if you were banned, you're banned. If you are banned and start posting under another screen name, that's a huge no-no...banned again. I take the rule to mean that you, the person, not your 'screen name' is banned. So, Joe Smoe, posting under the screen name 'lovestobattle' is banned, not 'lovestobattle'...Joe Smoe should find someplace else to post. Correct me if I'm wrong in my assumptions here fellow mods/WM's.

Only if we would have banned you under the old system. It always has been bannable if we wanted too. Obviously staying off of the moderators radar screen is a good plan

I'm on my annual new year's diet, a diet coke and a low carb bar would be way better!
I did answer when we say sarcasm we are refering to sarcasm that is used against someone to be mean. As I told the moderators if just being sarcastic was an offense I would have had to ban myself years ago

How do you even know if someone is posting under a new name? IP addresses change with every connection. dial - up or modem. Serious question.

The moderator or webmaster has the choice to send a "warning" with no points for some of the minor infractions.

So much for this having any significant change. They left the door open to allow the same kind of stuff that is causing the problems now.

Might as well have done nothing at all with that being the case.
