So you think that if we just show up at CP for breakfast or early lunch that we have a chance of getting in?

I wonder if we show up to California Grill at 8pm if we would have any chance of getting seated early? Has anyone ever pulled this off with a 9:35 ADR?

Yes, I just did a walk up to O'hana tonight and was seated in 20 min, and they had plenty of walk up availability, what does it hurt to try?

The restaurant choice are fine... the times are terrible with a 2 and 4 year old. .
I'm afraid that this is right.

While we personally wouldn't eat at some of those restaurants, if those are the choices you want, then thats all that matters. However I will agree with the PP where she noted. You have some meals right on top of eachother (you will literally have to leave CP to head to the Boardwalk to make it to your Flying Fish ADR).
Also, with the little ones, especially since it is your first trip, you might want to consider dropping to the basic dining plan this time around. It's a lot of food and a lot of time away from the parks that, when you look back, all your going to think about is the food and nothing else. So while yes, food is a big part of a WDW trip, it is not the only part and with a 2 and 4 year old you may have lost sight on what the trip is supposed to be about.

I agree 100%

Saturday
Cinderella's Royal Table
Magic Kingdom® Park
Time: 2:40 p.m.Restaurant Marrakesh
Epcot®
Time: 7:45 p.m.
The problem with this one is the time. I would see if you could get something earlier, even if you call Disney dining the night before or the day of. My sister did once and got a much better time.

Sunday
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Epcot®
Time: 1:30 p.m.
California Grill
Disney's Contemporary Resort
Time: 9:35 p.m.
You might get seated by 10:00 and with young children, it could be real hard on you. I would change this if you can.

Monday
Citricos
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Time: 6:20 p.m.

Tuesday
Tokyo Dining
Epcot®
Time: 12:00 p.m.
The Hollywood Brown Derby
Disney's Hollywood Studios®
Time: 4:15 p.m.
You will literally have to leave Epcot after your meal and have to go to Hollywood Studios. Personally, I would move this dinner to a later time, even if it meant I had to change to 50's Prime Time or another place to eat.

Wednesday
Tusker House Restaurant
Disney's Animal Kingdom® Park
Time: 1:30 p.m.
Jiko – The Cooking Place
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
Time: 8:05 p.m.
This day is doable:thumbsup2

Thursday
The Crystal Palace
Magic Kingdom® Park
Time: 2:15 p.m.
Flying Fish Café
Disney's BoardWalk
Time: 5:50 p.m.
These times are to close. Maybe try a walk up at CP earlier in the day.:confused3

Friday
Teppan Edo
Epcot®
Time: 12:40 p.m.

You had said that you wanted to have time to take the kids back to the resort to rest after lunch, but there will not be much time to do this at all. Even driving, and not having to wait on the buses still may not give you enough time there. Normally there is a wait after you check in for your ADR. I have waited as long at 30-45 minutes.

I think if it were me, I would drop the DDP and go with the regular DP. You are going to be spending all of your time eating or traveling to places to eat and miss the parks. This will not make little children happy, trust me. They are going to be wanting to see and do.

If not, here are some other places to consider eating with children: Ohana, Chef Mickeys, or 1900 Park Fare for breakfast or dinner at all three. Coral Reef would be fun for the kids because of the aquarium, and they serve lunch or dinner. Kona Cafe for dinner is excellent. 50's Prime Time Cafe is one of our favorites. Whispering Canyon Cafe is a fun place for children too. There are so many choices out there that you may find a better "time" for that would be a lot of fun for your family.

I would try my best to spread the meals out a little better. If no one is hungry to eat it will be a total waste of time and money.

Good luck, and I hope you have a very magical vacation!!:wizard:

CRT - takes at least hour or more which could put you at 4:00 finishing lunch then dinner would be just under 4 hours later, I would try to check in early at CRT or move the ressies up to give a little more time in between meals, Just a thought

Sunday
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Epcot®
Time: 1:30 p.m.
California Grill
Disney's Contemporary Resort
Time: 9:35 p.m.
Make sure that the kids have a nap, or you could be in for a long night, You might want to take a blanket or small pillow just in case, one of them fall asleep, I have seem lots of kids sleeping in there at this time of night.

Monday
Citricos
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Time: 6:20 p.m.

Tuesday
Tokyo Dining
Epcot®
Time: 12:00 p.m.

Disney's Hollywood Studios®
Time: 4:15 p.m.
If possible I would try to move lunch up to opening at 11:00 or try to move this HS back, I have eaten at Tokyo dinning very enjoyable, but not a fast pace meal. If you keep this you will be eating lunch and dinner within just over 3 hours.

Wednesday
Tusker House Restaurant
Disney's Animal Kingdom® Park
Time: 1:30 p.m.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

Thursday
The Crystal Palace
Magic Kingdom® Park
Time: 2:15 p.m.
Flying Fish Café
Disney's BoardWalk
Time: 5:50 p.m.
I would opt for much early lunch or perhaps breakfast, so that you will be hungry for Flying Fish, one of our favorite.

Friday
Teppan Edo
Epcot®
Time: 12:40 p.m.

I would call Disney sometimes they can help you space out your ADR's and maybe get you a later or earlier time. With 2 small children, you might want to go with some QS, then do sit down once a day. It might be easier on you and the kids. Again this is a suggestion.

I was worried about wasting time if we get turned away.
Walk up for CP is no problem since we can walk around the MK, but if we do walk up to CG then what would we do if we had to kill an hour or more?

I'm afraid that this is right.

I agree 100%

I did not take into account the possible 30-45 min wait after ADR check-in. That type of delay would really make the schedule even more difficult. I see how some of these meals are too closely spaced and will have to work to spread them out better.

I heard that there is an approximately 20min grace period before they cancel your ADR for being late? If you are running late does calling the restaurant help avoid a cancellation?

I will certainly try again. The problem with many of the character dining and signature restaurants is that they are all booked up! Hopefully more convenient times will open up for us.
Looks like Thurs is the most problematic day and will have to be changed.
Tokyo dining unfortunately opens at noon, not 11am.

Instead of Restaurant Marakesh (sp, sorry) why not do CS at Tangerine Cafe? Similar food and it was DELICIOUS last time we were there- I had the "sliders".

Seems similar to what is in Marakesh.

Also, on your California Grill night why not hire a baby sitter and have a "date night"? I have heard nothing but good things about the baby sitting place that comes to your room. We haven't used them yet but are planning to 2 nights next trip.

I agree also on dropping to the regular dining plan- we're doing 1 CS, 1 TS most days (2 TS on a day we have an 8 a.m. for CP).

I like the variations of your restaurants though!

Have a good trip. I'm jealous of those who are going to MNSSHP. I LOVE this Party!

We'll have to checkout Tangerine. Sound good.
The reason that we need the DxDP is that we have too many 2 credit ADRs booked.
Never really thought about the babysitting service. Of course everyone worried about leaving their kids in the hands of a stranger. :)
