We are trying to figure out what to do about our cake table and whether to cover the wall mural/mirror. I'd really appreciate seeing pix of your room set-up at the Whitehall Room. Thanks! :goodvibes

This is how we had it set up

Jane -- That is gorgeous! Did you have a dance floor? How many guests did you have?

We'll be 40 all together and want a DJ and a dance floor, so I think we are limited in our layout options.

We had 12 guests in total but no dance floor. But we did do our first dance in-front of the double patio doors. It is quite a big room and we also had our pre-reception tables and food in there, I think it will depend on how many tables you need for 40 guests.

we had a roman table and then tabled outside on the patio. we didnt have a dance floor and opted for a seperate table for the cake.

Hi Cam, I am deciding the same thing right now. I have 34 people with a DJ and dance floor. I asked if I could put the cake somewhere else so it wasn't in front of the mural but mainly because I wanted to stand behind the cake and table for pictures. I was told to do that I would have to have a smaller dance floor and the cake would have to go on a cocktail table by our sweetheart table. It was suggested not to do this because the cake wouldn't be as safe, someone could bump into the table. I decided to keep it on the table in front of the mural and I think I am leaning towards covering it. I think it was October Bride that has posted a link to her pictures and she has a picture with the mural covered.

Wow! I have never seen the Whitehall Room all decorated! It looks so pretty and bright! Too bad we are anticipating more people than it fits :confused3

This is exactly what I was looking for. I'll have to go find OctoberBride's picture showing the mural covered. If you find it first, could you post it here? I am sure it would be very helpful to other brides.

Jane - Your set-up was so beautiful! Were those silver ties on the chairs? So pretty!

Sarah -- Your room looked exquisitely beautiful!! LOVE your colors (very similar to ours!) :faint:
