OK, I know I am going to be in a minority here ... but I think it is pretty darn presumptuous to make your own "makeshift memorial" on someone else's property. Just because he tore down an ever expanding roadside memorial doesn't mean that he doesn't mourn Caylee's death. With the way that complete strangers feel about this little girl in no time at all the entire yard would be filled with a "makeshift memorial" ... teddy bears, flowers, dolls, pictures ... everywhere. I don't blame him one bit not wanting that kind of thing in front of the house. Would anyone really want that in front of their house?
I agree. I do not think it was right for anyone to put up memorials, especially before any official word is out and DNA proves it is Caylee. Sure, we all know it is her, but to put memorials in front of someone's house before LE proves it is Caylee, is just plain wrong. Go to church and light a candle. I just don't see the need for all the stuff on their lawn. If they need to make a shrine for Caylee, they can do it in their own backyards, imo.
These people should be donating these toys to Toys for Tots in honor of Caylee. Many living children would enjoy this immensely. Instead this stuff sits out in the rain and begins to look pretty shabby, pretty fast.
I also got a sick feeling about the people that were sending Christmas presents for Caylee to the Anthony house (as seen on a recent tour of their house). Geez, most people, including the grandparents, imo, have known since July 15, Caylee was no longer alive. How twisted is it to send Christmas presents to a most likely deceased child when so many poor children would really appreciate the gifts. I just don't get it.
I am not pro-Anthony's. Actually, I think they should be thrown in jail for obstructing justice and also, hindering the search for Caylee.
As for Lee, I don't think he wanted his parents to see the memorials out in front. George does like to keep a clean lawn, afterall. Part of me thinks Lee took the stuff inside to see if there was any money in the cards as well, since people were sending tons of cards to the Anthony's when this all first started in July. If he really wanted nothing to do with the memorials, he would have walked right to the trash can and tossed it all.
Poor little Caylee. Will she ever rest in peace?
