According to the 'mother', the father was killed in a car accident. Whether that is actually true or not, who knows.

The grandmother was on FOX news last night Geraldo interviewed her. The Grandmother didn't know the father's name, he just believed her daughter that the father was dead. The mother chose not to put him on the birth certificate too, and he supposedly died AFTER the little girl was born. :confused3

I think the grandmother, while she wants to know what happened to her granddaughter, is trying to protect her daughter as well.

This whole thing just makes me sick!

This has been a strange case. Now they are saying that the mom may know who took the child and where. Can you imagine the grief the grandparents must be feeling.

First let me say my heart goes out to everyone involved. This story breaks my heart, but makes me mad also.
I saw the grandparents on the Today show this morning.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the little girl and her mother living w/the grandparents? Did they wonder where she was for 5 weeks? What is going on w/that side of the story? While their daughter was out partying over the past several weeks, did they not ask where their grandaughter was?

:confused3

I went to get my mail yesterday and someone had taped up two of the missing posters, just makes me so sad everytime I see them.

I always get the feeling when watching the grandmother in interviews that she is really watching what she says when she speaks - almost like she cuts herself off sometimes in case she says too much, not telling the whole truth :confused3

I thought this was interesting too: Investigators did not release many new details about the case, Saturday, other than to say that weeks after Casey Anthony last saw her daughter, Casey got a tattoo that says "Bella Vida" in honor of her daughter.

Does that mean "beautiful life"? I wish Agatha Christie was still around to figure out all these clues/red herrings thrown around daily....

Still praying that someone will find her alive

Did anyone else read where they grandmother said her daughter received a call from the child Tuesday? There weren't many details. They said when the "mother" asked to speak to an adult the phone was hung up. Why didn't the grandmother come forward with that sooner? This whole thing is strange!

I read that and thought the same thing. You would think this would be breaking news and there would be more details.

What a beautiful little girl. I pray that she is found safe and sound.
Sad, so very sad!!

Reminds me of the Diane Downs story when she had the Unicorn statue made to honor her children before she shot them (1 died and 2 survived). That woman was/is pure evil.

Such a beautiful little girl, and so many other people in the world who would have treasured her.

I saw the Grandma on Geraldo, and judging by her responses to his questions, all I could think is, if the daughter is a psycho, I think I know why. Grandma did not come across as anyone I would want to know.

Casey knows exactly what happened to Caylee, because she was responsible.

I do not think this will end well...

And dont forget-the grandparents only contacted police after they got a report in the mail that this car would be towed. The grandmother said she thought Casey was in Tampa for "work" and Caylee was with a babysitter. What work-its never been clarified, the story changed to she was taking a mini vacation. How could this little girl live in the house and be gone for 5 weeks without the grandparents checking up? Where did these people think their daughter was getting money for this babysitter who watched Caylee around the clock??

The parents need to get their head out of the sand and stop making excuses. They know more than they are saying.Go down to the jail and demand answers from your daughter!

Grandparents were on the Today show this morning. The link isn't up on their website but I'm sure it will be soon. Whoever said the Grandmother is being careful about what she says is right. I noticed the last time they were on AND this time, whenever the interviewer asks the grandfather the question, if you listen carefully the grandmother answers for him first. Very quickly and barely heard you can hear her telling him what to say/whether or not to answer.
When the link is posted I'll post it here.

Saw the GP's interviewed on Today show also. Very disturbing and heartbreaking story indeed :sad1:. I get the feeling they are protecting their daughter and know a lot more than they are telling. I don't buy it at all, if my grandchild has been living w/me, then her mother goes on out of town assignment, leaving child with an overnight sitter for 6 wks w/no contact, I think I'm going to be asking some questions. :guilty:

When asked if their daughter could be on drugs, they stated: 'as a nurse and retired deputy sheriff they know what to look for and she is not on drugs.' Parent's also stated: 'they want to talk to Casey, so they can forgive her.'

Praying this beautiful child, Caylee, is still alive and in safe hands and found soon. ^i^

I saw this on nancy grace last night and it is SICK! She was very carefull of what she said....my dd is the same age and it just broke my heart to hear about it! I hope they find her alive but I do not think they will.I know if my parents had not seen my dd in about 2 days they would be asking where she is...

In reference to my earlier post about the grandmother talking for the grandfather........At about 5 minutes into the interview you can hear some whispering in the background and it looks like the grandmothers lips are moving.........

The attorney makes me mad too (right after the grandfather stops talking). "I know the reasons why I can't disclose that at this time".............is a crock of CRAP to me. If someone (including an attorney) knows something about the whereabouts of a 2 year old child they should say it!!!

Am I the only one that thinks someone should grab hold of the grandparents, shake them really hard, smack them a few times and yell WAKE UP!

I feel the same way. I DO NOT like the grandmother at all:mad: She is making excuses for her daughter and it seems like she enabled that pathetic young lady her entire life.

Something is strange about the grandparents.

I agree, the more that woman talks, the more I dislike her. It wouldn't surprise me if SHE knew where that baby was. She is protecting that sack of **** daughter of hers.

Wouldn't surprise me if the daughter left the baby in the car while she partied...and she died....and now the grandparents are covering. Yeah, I'm speculating but, something is up.

I read somewhere today that the attorney has stated he knows what is going on but cannot say because of his relationship with his client.....I thought that if there was a potential danger to someone, they had an obligation to speak up....this just breaks my heart. I really really hope they find this little girl, and she is ok.

Well, that SCUMBAG lawyer is more concerned about getting the mother out of jail. Why? So she can look for her daughter:mad:

Um, she lied where she left the child. She lied that she worked for Universal. She has "PSYCHO" written all over her and the lawyer wants her released:sad2:

The Grandmother was just on Greta. I agree that she sounds like she knows WAY more than she is saying.
