Dumb question here, why wouldn't you have some sort of locked gate around the perimeter of the pool, so neighborhood kids couldn't get in? Another lie I am sure.

I can see this being a plausible theory. now, is this dumb idiot they call her mother going to tell where she is so she can come "home" for her birthday. I have an eerie feeling that is what is going to happen, and it sends chills down my spine.

They do, it just wasn't locked I thought I heard her say.

Somehow, I don't know why, I do not buy the accidental drowning theory. I think it's the way Casey is acting that makes me think Caylee's disappearance is more sinister than mom's neglect resulting in an accidental drowning. I think if that theory was true, Casey would have confessed by now.

It's back to me thinking the grandparents are covering for her again. No one really knows if the pool ladder story is true, right? We have Cindy's word on this? Sounds like an after-the-fact fabrication created by Cindy and her husband. Maybe the Anthony's came up with the pool ladder story, hoping Casey would pick up on it and confess to an accidental drowning. Maybe I watch too much crime TV.

My dh said last week he thought Caylee probably drowned in the family pool. This is looking more like it.

When I first heard about this, my first thought was that the mom, Casey, may have accidentally caused her daughter's death, possibly by leaving her in the car in the Florida heat for awhile, because from seeing pictures of Caylee and Casey together, I just couldn't fathom that Casey would have purposefully caused her daughter's death.

Then after I saw they had a pool, and hearing about the flurry of phone calls to her parents, Caylee drowning in the pool seemed probable. If Caylee is dead and it is found to have been accidental, what I can't understand is why Casey wouldn't have reported the accident immediately.

Here's my theory, LOL. I think somehow Caylee died accidentally while under Casey's care, probably in the pool. Immediately Casey tried to call her parents numerous times but couldn't get ahold of anyone. Then, realizing the enormity of the situation, her mind can't grasp the fact that her beautiful, darling daughter is dead, and Casey snaps, disassociating herself from the events, devises the kidnapping scheme, and in her mind, has convinced herself the kidnapping is what really happened.

I think that Casey has had a psychotic break, secondary from not being able to accept that she caused her daughter's death. I came up with this theory because, no matter how self-centered Casey is, no matter if she is a big-time party girl, from looking at all those pictures of Caylee with Casey, how they always have big smiles on their faces, I cannot for the life of me, believe that Casey could be so cold and callous, and seemingly uncaring about the disappearance of her daughter.

Who knows? Stranger things have happened. Nothing makes sense about this case. I know I would be a screaming, hysterical lunatic if my almost 3yo daughter went missing. It is just so sad.

The drowning makes no sense though. Why would someone cover that up. Even if the mother wasn't watching and this happened, why would she worry about calling 911 and telling someone? Kids drown, even under very watchful eyes, it isn't a criminal act all the time.....even though with her it very well might have been. Seems soemthing like that, the mother would call 911.

Any normal mother would have broken down by now and admit to an accident. This is not a normal mom in my opinion. I think she is down right evil. She seems to have no soul, feelings etc.

Could be she died in the car because of the heat, like some have speculated, the mother put her in the trunk, then moved her to the backyard, then into one of the ponds near the house.

And grandma is saying that stuff about the pool to make it seem like a simple drowning trying to cover for her DD.

I agree, I just think it is astounding how we have never heard her ask about Caylee or the investigation.

On the other hand, I can't help but wonder if the media is only choosing to air the incriminating parts of the taped conversations? Is it possible? I am going to be really ticked if that is the case.

I think being left in the car is more of a possibility and more the sort of thing that would most likely start a panic going in the Mom. After all, how many times do you hear about that and the parent getting into legal trouble?

My scenario: Caylee is sleeping in the car seat, Casey is at the house and because baby is sleeping leaves her in the seat. Casey hangs out for a bit, comes out and finds Caylee dead. Panic sets in, frantic calls to the parents, parents aren't answering so in her panic (can't call police, I'll get in serious trouble) starts to plan how to make it look like she "dissappeared." Maybe Casey was even in the pool or pool area trying to use that as the cause of death...but then because she either watches crime shows or the news channels she knows that if someone drowns there would be water in the lungs, so that blows that idea. (that's why the ladder was down and not up because Casey was putting Caylee in the water)

Instead of putting her back in the car seat since she is wet she puts her in the trunk. The clothing found in the car is also wet at that time because she was in the pool with it on...another reason to wash the clothes, get the chlorine residue out of them?

Yes, I spend way too much time thinking about this and I do watch way too many crime shows.

I think it's totally possible that the media is doing that. They sure wouldn't want to play just some regular old boring bites..that wouldn't want to make viewers turn in.

I have to agree, the media knows exactly what it is doing.

I just think it is so wrong, though, if that is the truth.

Not that I have seen. I am not sure how long DNA results take to get back?

They have said the lab tests done on the material in the car are done and have been turned over to the police. They are not releasing the results at this point.

Ughh... these tests are driving me nuts!!
I know there are other tests from other cases that need to be done. But why dont they rush these since a childs life is possibly on the line? Wouldnt it save so much time and money if they would just get these back?

Does anyone know if Casey in general population? I am guessing not since she hasnt gotten her rear kicked yet.

Casey probably refused to see Lee to get back at him for cancelling his scheduled visit with her the previous day. Cindy also cancelled her scheduled visit with Casey the previous day (hope I got the dates right). Casey seems like a vindictive bully. One of the talking heads had described her as a person who has been bullying her family for years.

That would make total sense. I was wondering why she would refuse to see her brother too.

My thought was maybe that she is starting to realize that she is not pulling the wool over his eyes anymore and refused to see him because of this.

I am glad to hear that. It is interesting that they have chosen not to release the results yet. I wonder what they are waiting for? A trial maybe?

This theory sounds like it could've happened that way.

Has anyone heard anything at all about Caylee's father ?:confused3

I don't know why but that just popped into my head
