Please list your AKV room number!

I'm heading over there tonight to get the rest!

Our dedicated savanna studios for this week were 5356 sunset savanna, horrible view of the barn and people pen. On the plus side, you couldn't see Kidani construction as we were on the backside of the last little spur.

Our request to be moved was granted after the first night and we have 5239 dedicated savanna studio on the arusha savanna. Much better I must say! I can't believe we were using the same number of points for such different views!

Question about moving...is there a room change charge when you do this?

Lock-off studio. It has a beautiful view of the pool and the lobby. As you walk into the lobby from the front of the lodge, look at the bridge on the 5th floor. Our studio was the room on the right side of the lobby as you walked off of the bridge.

We stayed in 5420 which is a Studio with the Sunset view. The room was close to lobby but quiet and just steps away from the laundry room.

We were originally quoted $45 to move rooms but after going to our first room and finding it not cleaned yet, they did not charge us when we moved the next day.

Hi! Just back from 5 nights at the Animal Kingdom Villas! We were in a GV at the end of the Zebra Trail, room 5593. It was absolutely wonderful! I do have pictures and would be glad to answer any questions. There are 3 large balconies at the back of the villa with great savannah views. We saw the baby giraffes, lots of zebra, ankole cattle, etc. I never heard a sound from the construction but could see it out in the distance.

I think 5110 was the 1 bedroom and 5112 was the studio!

I've already PM'd Lisa this info, but we must have had this room right after you. We were there 6/15-23.

5110 Value 1BR Lock-off with 2 sinks in bathroom, no island in kitchen
5112 Lock-off Studio
They are the first rooms to the right down Ostrich Trail from the lobby. Not the best savanna view, but we did see giraffes, zebras, ostriches, and the resident kudu that stayed right below us most of the time. We loved the location when we got back at night. We expected the Kidani construction view. We did not know the lifts for the painters would be right outside all week.

The rest of our group had:
5122 Value Dedicated Studio - savanna view

We were in 6208 from July 2nd through the 9th. It was a one bedroom with a savanah view (of sorts). Being on the 6th floor, you have a great view of the thatched roof where it dips onto your balcony. We had a great view of the Kidani construction and the men on the cherry pickers doing repair work (or painting) on the exteriors of the balconies. We had a stalwart eland and a frequent ostrich visitor in the savannah most of the time, though we did have the ankole cattle now and then as well as a few zebras. We were located right above the suspension bridge on the 5th floor, which forced us to pass the concierge snacks every time we went between the elevators and our room -- oh the horror! :rotfl:

5596 - grand villa all the way at the end of the zebra trail - spectacular room and view, requested that exact room for our 2 nights there first week of Aug.

The room will be 5593. We just checked out a couple of days ago. It was a beautiful room! Great view too!

One night at:
5220 - 5222 2 Bedroom lockoff
Kudu Trail, POOR Sunset Savanna view
5222 - Studio, two sinks, no broom closet
5220 - 1 Bedroom
The floor plans show 5220 as the studio and 5222 as the 1BR, but these floor plans are not always correct. To help me sort this out do you happen to remember as you walked down the hallway from the lobby, which door you reached first, the door to the studio or the door to the 1BR?

If you entered via the door to the 1BR portion, was the studio to the left or to the right of the kitchen in the 1BR? And was the connecting door to the studio just past the closet in the kitchen area (and just past the kitchenette in the studio)?

Thanks!

You listed this as room number 5409. The AKL map shows only 6 rooms along that side of the lobby, 5401-5406 with 5406 at the end of the 5th floor bridge. According to the map, room 5409 would not be along the lobby but rather at the start of the Zebra trail, facing the Arusha Savanna however there is actually a suite there instead of DVC rooms. Do you have any way to double check your room number?

According to the map and floor plans, 5420 is a 1BR facing the pool area. Do you have a way to double check that room number?

I have two other reports for this GV that state the room number is 5593. But I see on the floor plan that there are two doors into the GV. Were there different numbers on these doors, one 5593 and the other 5596? Thanks.

You could be correct. If I had the numbers wrong I could be wrong about this, but I believe that as walking from the lobby that you reached 5222 first. Sorry for the bad info.

It's not clear whether your info is incorrect or the floor plan orientation is not correct. In some cases, I can't tell whether I have the floor plan the right way around or if I need to rotate it 180 degrees, so that's what is prompting all these questions. As you walk from the lobby, the numbers increase. If you think the studio portion was closer to the lobby than the 1BR portion, then the studio would have the lower room number (5220) so I'll go with that for now and hope we get another report from that section to confirm that.

The one thing that I am sure of is that the studio was closer to the lobby.:upsidedow

5582
Lock-off Studio
Savanna view
Zebra Trail
No broom closet
Actually faced Arusha but at the area where Arusha and Uzima meet
GREAT location for animals but FARRRRR from pool and lobby

Has anyone asked for a copy of the Unit map that is available upon request by DVC members for Kidani Village? I'd love to know where my deed ownership unit will be located.
