Please list your AKV room number!

I am trying to create a list of room numbers in Jambo House. Using my Jambo House Units map, the floor plans and an AKL map showing the room numbers in each building segment I can make a pretty good guess about the room numbers except for one thing: for each trail and hallway "spur", I need to know which side of the hallway has even-numbered rooms and which has odd-numbered rooms! If those of you who have stayed at AKV can help out here, I would appreciate it very much!

If you have stayed at AKV, please reply to this thread listing your room number and your view (which savanna it faced, or if it faced the pool or the parking lot).

It would also be very helpful if you listed whether there was anything unusual about the room. For example, most of the studios and master bathrooms have a double-sink vanity but some have only one sink. Most (but not all) of the dedicated studios have a broom closet but some do not. Most of the lockoff studios do not have a broom closet, but some do. Also if you stayed in an HA room please mention whether it had a roll-in shower or a tub.

Room 6209 is a Concierge Studio. It faces the Sunset Savanna and is the room that is furthest from the Lounge on the savanna-side of the lobby.

1BR, Zebra trail, Arusha Savannah view, on the spur past the elevators while heading away from the lobby.

5212 - Savannah View (really bad savannah view) dedicated studio- Sunset savannah, between the first two spokes a few doors from the lobby area.

5026 - Value Studio (lockoff), Giraffe Trail.

Had a view of Uzima Pool, but it was blocked by two trees. That suited me just fine.

5469 (studio) and 5471 (1 br portion) on Zebra Trail, facing the Uzima Savanna. Washer was a regular top-loader. Great view and animals did visit.

Okay, I'm bad. I promptly forget my room number about 10 minutes after I get home! I know we were right behind the elevator on 6th floor concierge...1 bedroom, and our standard view studio the night before was a pool view on5th floor near the central elevators.

It is a pool-view, concierge-level studio located next to the ice machine and public bathroom. It's the first villa on the right as you look from the concierge area.

5319. It was savannah view 1 bedroom HA room with roll in shower. No whirlpool. No Tub. No center island counter in the kitchen.

Room 5531 - Dedicated Sav. view studio - Zebra Trail- Arusha Savannah
2 sinks - broom closet - last room before viewing area.

Room 5410 - Dedicated Standard view = Pool view- 2 sinks can't remember if there was a closet or not..only there one night. Nice view of pool..private balcony..close to elevators and only a few doors down from the laundry room.

Room 6206 - Concierge Studio - (Sunset) Savannah view..non HA (attached to 6205 1 BR which was handicapped.) Halfway down the hall. (Could hear the lobby TV late PM and early AM) Also I noticed that the lockoff studio seem a bit larger than the dedicated studio.

We stayed in 6202 last Christmas.

Concierge 1 bedroom (HA with roll in shower no tub) with a Sunset Savannah view. Closest 1 bed to the lounge. 6201 is the connecting studio it is the closest studio to the lounge.

We stayed in a 2BR Savannah View so we had 2 room numbers-5543/5545. The room was a normal Jambo layout(nothing out of the ordinary that I noticed) but the View was terrible and we were about as far away from the lobby as you could get. The rooms are down Zebra Trail, in the very last building to your right(sorry, it's so hard to describe how to get there!). We had to walk down Zebra Trail through 2 sections to get to the elevators, then take the elevator up to the 5th floor and walk through another 2 sections then the hallway splits and you can either go straight or to your right to go to the last section of rooms. Our room was in the section on the right(if you look on the AKV map, it is the section on the Boma side of the map and the very farthest section on the top right). Our room was the first set of rooms on the left side of the hallway(if you are entering from where the hallway split). Our room was in the corner (if you look on the map)where the two end sections form a V. The rooms were right above a people pen and had a view of a very small savannah. I am not even sure which savannah it was part of.

Sorry I was so detailed! I was just trying to help you see which side of the building we were in and where the room was!!!!

We stayed in 1BR savanna view villa #5425 which overlooks the Arusha Savanna and was on the Zebra Trail a short distance from an elevator (I'm not sure how many elevators there are).

Our trip was Dec. 20-26, 2007 - Loved it!!

When we checked in we did not have:

6206 -> CL studio overlooking the sunset savannah. I would say that it was probably a bit more than 1/2 way down the hallway from the lounge. This room had the bed near the sliders.
