Has anyone had trouble using Disney Gift Card to pay DVC dues?

DVC website isn't accepting my gift cards for dues payment. I've paid with CAD Disney Gift Cards before. I was able to enter them into disneygiftcard.com, it accepted and confirmed the balances.

Does it give you the option to add the gift card, but just not going through?

Same. I'm so mad. I just spent $$$$ in gift cards from Sams and it is only letting me put in a credit card. I just posted in the DVC FB group about it.

okay i just got it to work. Once you hit add a new card, then it let me choose a gift card.

I was able to choose a gift card, enter the number and the ean, but then after pressing submit payment I got a message saying to choose another form of payment. I tried it twice. The GCs are valid, I was able to enter them into Disneygiftcard.com and that also confirmed the balance. I don't know, maybe I'll try again tomorrow.

I have used Disney Canadian Based Gift Cards,,, but I only call member services to have the amount withdrawn from the cards.

I guess that's what I'll have to do. It just seems that every time I call them they are "experiencing higher than normal call volume". It's kind of a psychological block for me. Thanks.

I think I replied on your other post. I always use gift cards and had no trouble making payments last week. I have to enter each card twice, once using an amount I know is lower than the balance on the card, just to see how much US$ is left for me then to make a second payment to use up the card.

Haven't tried that. I did that one year and was left with .16 on a card. I didn't want that to happen again.

I would have tried making a payment for 0.16. The most I ever have left is one cent, but again that happens rarely.

Something I learned a few trips ago and it does make sense.

I had issues using the total US amount on a Canadian Gift Card when paying my room charges before checking out, it would not go through at all and it was upsetting as it was a $500 Canadian Card. A fellow Canadian who happened to be at the resort counter next to us said, try the transaction with one penny less and it worked. He explained that when the conversion is done it rounds to the nearest penny. So sometimes the true conversion, if rounded up, is not quite that whole penny. That's why sometimes it works and sometimes not, depending on the going rate and how it was rounded up or down. Never had an issue since. Now when using the whole balance I just tell them to put it through at one penny less.

After, I just transfer that penny balance showing from each card I've used and combine them to one card on the Gift Card Balance site for next time.
