My prayers go out to everyone in the path of this monster. The parents of a friend live right on St. Charles in a historic building in NOLA, they have picked up his gram in Biloxi and are headed to my house for safety. I've never even met them--talked to his mom on the phone a couple times, but for me, friends are family, and family of friends is family, and my home is always open to family.

I feel for those who don't have the resources to leave. There are a lot of people in that area who are impoverished, and will likely lose the few possessions they own.

I'm also helping to coordinate a supply chain of items to help HSUS and EARS, who will respond to the area as soon as it's physically possible to get in.
