Please, is there another shoe to wear other than Crocs????

http://www.shoes.com/Shopping/ProductDetails.aspx?p=EC1074048&pg=5055602

I purchased these for my trip in August for myself, my daughter and my mom bought them too. I like them because they are made to be worn wet or dry, dry quickly and have plenty of support and cushioning. I haven't worn them in Disney yet, but I have worn them around at home and they seem very comfortable. The only thing I will say is they seem to run a little big (and they can also comfortably fit a wide foot).

Earljam, your description made me laugh so much I had to call my hubby at work just to read it to him! We both think Crocs are ugly, too!

Like Castle Crazy, I have Keens. This will be my first time to Disney World so a few months ago, I did all sorts of research on the best shoe/sandal to buy.
I LOVE MY KEENS! They are on the pricey side ($89), but are SO comfy! I bought the Newport H2 because Keens don't come in wide, but of all their "models", this was the one I kept reading is the best for people with wider feet. You have to buy all Keens a size bigger than you normally wear as they run small. Anything with H2 after the name (Newport H2, Venice H2, etc) is made to be fine to get wet. I cannot say enough about how comfy these are. I've been wearing them at least 3-4 days per week for the last 3 months, and no blisters at all!

Also, since I didn't want to bring just one pair to DW, I ordered the Land's End Trekker Strap Sandals ($39.50), as well as a pair of the Land's End River Trekker Sandals (now on sale for $34.50). Both of these are super-comfy as well. Not a blister to be found on me! :) Plus, I bought each of my twins a pair of the Beach Trekker Shoes from Land's End and they haven't had any problems, either. Yep, I'm a little neurotic on making sure feet stay comfy on our once-in-a-lifetime dream trip. ;)

Good luck! :goodvibes

I LOVE MY KEENS!

I also just bought Keens for the first time. I got Sarasota Keens at Nordstroms online, they were 30%off. This is also my first trip so I wanted a really comfortable shoe and so far I have been really happy with them, I did just get this the other day but so far so good.

Hi
I think some of the Crocs are really ugly too, but if you check the Crocs website, there are some new really cute feminine styles. Your wife might like something like the Patra. My DD wore them last summer to WDW and she said they are so comfortable. They just came out with Adara and they're nice looking also. A lot better than the clunky beach and cayman style. I wore the scutes to DW and they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I usually get blisters with sneakers, and I didn't get any with the Scutes. (They're a slide and not that stylish, but so comfortable.)

I have to tell ya...If my husband told me I wasn't ALLOWED to wear Crocs... I'd be wearing them EVERY day!

I hated them in the beginning too. My sis gave me a pair for Christmas years ago and I was finally converted. I have my original pair, a pair of pink Mickey ones (dd has a matching pair) and a brand new pair of pearl & celery Cleos.

I loved wearing my pink Mickey's to WDW last year. Dd and I got soaked on Splash Mountain and my feet were dry again in about 15min!

Our whole family wear our Crocs, including DH:love: and we have happy feet:yay:

I think I've decided to try the keens, one of the H2 ones (newport or venice H2). The problem is no one around where I live carry them (I live on the northeast coast) so I'd have to order them on-line. How do they run as far as sizes, do they run big or small? thanks!

I have Privo flip flops and I LOVE them. They don't rub between my toes at all...so comfortable:)

The Keens run very true to size, but they do run a little wide. Don't stress over that, since they are actually made for white water rafting, they have a cord that you can use to tighten the shoes.

I have 2 pairs of keens, but I always end up wearing chacos to Disney. They are adjustable to your foot so their is absolutely no rubbing, chafing, or blistering. They are also water-proof!

Darlington, I bought my Keens online, too, from Zappos. I received them the day after I ordered them, and Zappos has free return shipping if there had been a problem. I kept reading to order a size larger than I normally wear (I wear a 9 or 9.5 wide depending on the shoe). I ordered a 10 in the Newport H2 and they are absolutely perfect! :goodvibes

Kids1617, thanks for the tip on the Keen sale at Nordstrom. I checked it out and thought those were really nice looking! Now I just have to decide whether I really "need" another pair - but the price is sure right!

My husband and I both swear by ECCOs. I started wearing the receptor shoes after an ankle injury (they were recommended by my physical therapist) and for summer I've got the receptor style sandals. They are so comfortable, and if you want a little padding you can easily wear socks with them and they look just fine. (you don't really need socks though). They are a bit pricey but they last!

I swear by Reef flip flops- I can wear them for hours upon hours and still have happy feet. Good luck!

My DH thought that Crocs were awful and would make fun of me and our DD for wearing them. Then he developed a foot problem and I bought him a pair. My DH loves his Crocs and has started wearing them all the time when he isn't working. I think your DW should get you a pair and make you a Crocs convert.

I'm all about the Privo's....I have two pairs and I'll probably buy another pair or two before my next trip in October. I hear they have them same insole as Crocs....which I refuse to wear. I agree that they are so ugly!!! :rotfl:

I bought 4 pairs of Teva Mush for our last trip down in July and they were perfect, great arch support! :yay:

so I'm guessing your wife likes her crocs? LOL! If my husband gave me the same ultimatum I'd wear them 24/7. :lmao: I agree, crocs are not attractive even in the remotest way but they are very comfortable. And it is Disney World afterall, where everyone dresses for comfort. I know my husband would much rather deal with a happy, comfy wife than a grumpy one with blisters. Just sayin'!

I hate crocs, they are the ugliest shoe fI've ever seen. I have repeatedly told my wife that I will not be seen with her if she wears them. They should be called birth control shoes. Please help my wife to decide on another means of footwear at disney

Thanxxxx

Well, gee, just have her take them off before you get ready to make the baby. But don't refuse to be seen with her when she's wearing them or you may not get the opportunity to even try. . .:sad2:
