Ok so I haven't had park hopping tickets since 2003? I'm thinking things have changed!

I'm debating adding park (no water parks) hoppers to my base tickets, one because we're staying at CR and being able to go into MK every night would be nice!

Ok so with hoppers I can literally go from MK in the am, to HS in the evening, or the reverse? Can you hop to two or more parks in one day? Going into MK in the am, won't affect my ADR at HS for that night right?

I know it affects fast passes, etc. but that doesn't bother me too much as DD is too small to do many of the more popular rides... (I literally found most of her rides as ones that don't even have FP avail!)...

yes you can park hop from MK in the AM then head to HS that night. It won' affect your ADR. I only buy park hoppers as as I love the options plus ont eh days that AK closes early and another park is open later then I can head over there.

Good Luck!

All correct :thumbsup2 We've hopped from HS in the morning to Epcot for lunch and closed down MK in the same day before. We've also rope dropped MK then had a dinner ADR at HS like you're asking and everything worked out fine. Some folks have hopped to all four parks in a day! The only thing to stand in your way would be if the park has to go to a closure due to high crowds, but that only happens a few times a year on/during major holidays like Christmas so don't let that scare you. If you can afford it go ahead and splurge for the hoppers!

Park Hoppers give you unlimited entry access to all of the parks. We always do at least two parks every day. We have done three or even all four parks in a day. We always end up in either the Magic Kingdom for Wishes or EPCOT for dinner and Illuminations. EPCOT has such a variety of food. We eat dinner there a lot. Park Hoppers give us the flexibility to tour the way we like. You are right, being at the Contemporary resort is great with Park Hoppers because of the ease of getting to the Magic Kingdom. Have fun!!!

Thanks so much!

I just don't think that HS warrants a whole day (for us), but there's a couple things that I want to do there...

You can also make your FP+ reservations for the evening park.

rope drop AK and then hop to Epcot, DS or MK? Rope drop AK and then hit the other parks with FP+

Or rope drop Epcot and hop to DS with FP+

lots of options...

Most days in MK you would want to use FP+ unless you did two days in MK with FP+ and then rope drop MK and hop to another park with FP+ there. that might work.

But 4th FP+ in MK are something that usually works really well...

I also don't think AK or HS will be an all day park for us so I am planing on one day AK at opening and HS by dinner time for F and few rides.

I think park hopping works good for some and not so well for others. It depends on what you want to do.

How long does it take to get between MK and DHS and EPCOT and DHS? Trying to figure out timing for park hopping!

Someone might give you a more specific answer. I try to leave a park 2 hours before my first scheduled event in the next park.

I believe the longest hop is AK -. MK where I would leave 2.5 hours before my first scheduled event. You will get there much sooner than that...

Shorter trips are:

MK to Epcot
Epcot to DS

Add up to 20 minutes, if you encounter an extra "wait time."
Add 5-10 minutes to get through security bag check and the entrance gates.
Add the time it takes to walk from the gates to your first event in the new park.

MK<TTC>Epcot: Monorail 30-45 min.
MK<>DHS: Bus 25-45 min.
MK<>DAK: Bus 25-45 min.

Epcot- Front gates<>DAK: Bus 30-45 min.
Epcot- Front gates<>DHS: Bus 30-45 min.
Epcot- International Gateway<>DHS: Boat 25-40 min.
Epcot- International Gateway<>DHS: Walk 25-30 min.

DHS<>DAK: Bus 20-45 min.

If you have the energy and desire you can hit all 4 parks in one day! That's a lot of travel time but it can be done. Staying so close to MK, yeah, I would do it just because you are "that close" to it every night. Since I love just walking Main Street, especially AFTER park close, I'd probably do it just so I can get in before closing and stay for a bit afterwards each night. Imagine "Goodnight Kiss" every night.:love::love:

Your ADR and/or FP are not dependent on where else you might go that day.....we actually prefer dinners in EPCOT and have been known to spend the day at one park and go to EPCOT just for dinner and the stroll through the park without bothering with a single ride.

It sounds like you're aware (but I'll put it here for anyone reading who is NOT aware)....you can only get FP in advance at one park. Most of the time we will make FP for whatever park we're going to be at in the morning....reason being we can make those in advance and then once their time has passed (whether you actually use them or not, the time must pass), at the next park(s) you can go to a kiosk and get another FP (only 1 at a time though). A hint...if you decide to skip your last FP and go to another park.....try changing that FP to an early enough time that by the time you get to the other park it will be expired....because you cannot get a 4th FP until the first 3 have passed.

are there buses now for park to park transportation? Or do you still have to transfer at a nearby resort? thanks!

There have ALWAYS been "park-to-park" buses (MK's used to terminate at TTC, but now they go to the MK front gate area.)
(See full info below.)

What is NOT provided is "resort-to-resort" bussing.

----------------------------------

There is "direct" transportation between all the WDW theme parks.
The frequency of departure for each is approximately every 20 minutes, give or take, all day long.

Most routes are via Disney Buses.

Here are the "park-to-park" Disney Transportation direct connections:

MK> Epcot = Monorail to TTC, Switch to 2nd Monorail to Epcot
MK> DHS = Direct Bus
MK> AK= Direct Bus

AK> DHS= Direct Bus
AK> Epcot= Direct Bus
AK> MK= Direct Bus

DHS> MK= Direct Bus
DHS> AK= Direct Bus
DHS> Epcot= Direct Bus (Epcot Front Gate) or Boat (Epcot Intl. Gateway)
......Boats ("Friendships") make 3 interim stops at the Epcot area resorts.

Epcot > MK= Monorail to TTC, Switch to 2nd Monorail to MK
Epcot > AK= Direct Bus
Epcot> DHS= Direct Bus (Epcot Front Gate) or Boat (Epcot Intl. Gateway)
......Boats ("Friendships") make 3 interim stops at the Epcot area resorts.

The buses have their destinations shown on them on illuminated signs.
The bus stops at the parks are also marked with signage.

(I literally found most of her rides as ones that don't even have FP avail!)...

I know this is a little off the topic, but kind of jumped out at me. I know you said you're not worried about FP, because most the rides you're interested in don't have them. But since the new FP+, almost everything has it now--I think! I can only think of a handful that might not. Are you sure you're looking at a current list? Have you considered meet & greets? Just don't want you to miss out on FPs that you could be getting!
