Another newbie to DDP.

I'm not sure on the whole snack thing, even though I read the Disney description.

I've read that you get 1 thing, like a piece of fruit or soda, but then I've read people getting more than that, box of doughnuts, etc.

SO, how excactly does it work? Were staying at Pop, so say in the food court, and I get 1 soda, DH gets 1 bag of chips, and DD gets 1 ice cream bar.. correct? That would equal 3 snack credits?

Hi. We just came back from a week in DW staying at the WL. We were allowed almost any item under $4 as a snack. We used a snack credit for a box of donuts in the gift shop - $3.99 - for breakfast time. Also used snack credits for a 1/2 gallon of milk and a gallon of water. You could use a snack credit for an individual bag of chips at the counter service area or a large bag of chips in the gift shop.

At Roaring Forks (the WL counter service) they were very flexible with the snack credit. You could get any dessert item, any non-alcholic beverage, a side salad, fruit salad, cup of chili or soup. My brother used a couple of snack credits on french fries in the parks.

Our favorite use of snack credits was ice-cream sundaes and floats in the parks. Delicious!

Just wanted to add that you might want to consider the refillable mugs for the resort instead of using snack credits for soda.

Yes, that is correct. Snacks are the easiest part of the DDP if you ask me. We just got back from Pop and everything is marked with a DDP Snack sticker on the fridges, counters, etc. The box of doughnuts are considered 1 snack. It's anything that is under the price of $4 You will get the hang of it once you're there--it's a little overwhelming and confusing at first, but by the end of your stay you'll have it figured out. :) I was still learning things the morning of our departure....

We stayed at the Polynesian in July.

We used snack credits for all sorts of things mentioned above. The generally agreed upon rule is less than $4.00 and you can get it. We got breadsticks at Pizzafari in AK and boxes of cookies from the Polynesian gift shop, too.

At the Polynesian's CS place, they had a sign which clearly stated what was covered as a snack. They also included ice cream, fresh pastries (muffins, cookies, bagels, and such), cereal, Pop-tarts, really all sorts of things. It's easy to check when you're there.

There is a sticky thread at the top of the board listing the confirmed DDP snacks by location.

Hope that helps,
