Hello all! This is my very first post although I have been searching this board for months. Trying to book with Hotel Kingdom but reading these boards talks about some of the options as a timeshare. Cypress Point Grand Villas and Regal Palms have caught our eye but is it still like a timeshare when you book through Hotel Kingdom? It says nothing anywhere about obligations to listen to the spill. Thank you soooo much!!!!!

they are always timeshares.

but you don't have to listen to their sales pitch unless you want too....

we booked Cypress Point last year through hotelkingdom. You don't have to take a tour to get the great rates. You will be offered a tour, but as long as you don't go for your welcome gift and let your voicemail answer your phone, you will have no problem!!

We stayed at Cypress Pointe last year, and are going back again this year for the first week in April. We decided to take an hour of our time one morning that we didnt have anything planned except for hanging out at the pool that day to listen to their pitch just to get two free tickets to Magic Kingdom. We had a decent buffet breakfast, listened for 45mins - 1hr, and politely told them no and that was that. We actually were not pressured into even listening to them, but we thought the two free tickets were worth it. I would highly recommend booking Cypress Pointe through HK!

Also, I would recommend Cypress Pointe Resort, as the rooms are a little more updated in my opinion. The GV rooms are not that old, however the Phase 1 side has rooms that are just right at 1yr old, completely refurbed. HTH

Just another point that some people find important. Because these resorts are timeshares, there is no daily maid service (you can pay for it, but it's a lot), there is no room service, and you have to pretty much bring your own shampoos, dish and laundry detergent, etc. (Although most of them do provide a small starter pack of these kitchen items.)

We love the timeshare resorts...for the space and the price. But some people get very disappointed when they expect "hotel" service and don't get it. Just wanted to let you know...

Have a wonderful trip.

We stayed at Cypress Pointe GV a year and a half ago and they had just finished updating that side. It was great. We are going back this June.
I agree with the post above. Don't expect hotel service. But you get soooo much more room for your money. Plus the pools are like a resort, better than a hotel.
As for service, it was fine. We had a door lock problem and they came within 15 minutes. Also brought some bulbs for burnt out lights within an hour.
The only real problem was getting pool towels when they ran out. It took a couple requests.

We've stayed at both CPGV and CP. Recently we were at CPGV for Tday. They always leave you the message offering you to go, but we've never been. Also, the welcome package just pick up what you need and that's it, no need to listen to all the timeshare stuff.

It's an incredible value, but there is no maid service. You also may need a few extra supplies depending on how much you plan on cooking. I ended up buying more toilet paper than what was provided and paper towels (we did have 10 people though!) They provide starter amounts of everything you NEED and if you don't cook much, you won't need anything at all.

Also, they do have a towel change/sheet change day and you put it outside and they trade it for you. I had more than enough towels, etc for the week even without changing.
