Please help save Petey's life

sounds like someone has been enjoying kitty fritters with extra sprinkles
My dog gets his teeth, face and tongue scrubbed if he does that.
Good luck.
Our solution for this was to put a kitty door into the bathroom. I keeps the dog out but the cats are free to come and go as needed.

You scared me!

(and Petey looks like my apricot poodle from when I was about 13 years old...I miss Corky! :( )

My Reilly often snacks where he's not supposed to. BLEH!!! No doggie kisses for me anymore!

Yes that title is VERY scary! Petey is such a cutie, he looks so much like my parents' poodle, Ginger.

Little dogs are so feisty. I could ram my entire arm down my golden retriever's throat with no problem. Maybe it is because the little ones think they have something to prove!

If it makes you feel any better, Griffin likes to clean up the yard after himself. Talk about gross. Then he comes in and keeps making this disgusting noise because it sticks to the roof of his mouth. I've tried everything to make him stop. Now, I have to stand out in the yard and watch him so that I can quick clean up after him. Needless to say, I don't let him lick my face!

Unfortunately that won't work for us since Petey is actually smaller than Simon and could get in there with no problem. We are searching for good solutions for our new home if anyone has one. I'm thinking elevating it in some way but not sure how that would be practical and still accessible to the cat. :confused3

Definitely take him to the vet to have his teeth cleaned.

My little fur baby had the same horrific breath. Nothing worked. Took him to the vet for a teeth cleaning and found the cause of the odor: 4 teeth that had rotted. Of course when they won't open their little mouths (and mine are little, chihuahuas, you know), you can't see a whole lot.

My suggestion is get to the vet. This may keep him from having further issues down the road.

Give him a hug from me!
