It's only 29 days till we leave for WDW and I'm already starting to feel bad that it's soon gonna be over. I don't know how I'm going to fill my time after we get back. No more planning, reading the disboards, planning, reading the disboards, planning, reading the disboards. Why am I feeling this way?

awwww that is a totally normal feeling...

what to do to get over it??

keep coming here to the DIS
share your knowledge with other newbies
plan another trip even if it is years away
check out other forums here that you haven' before

there is always a reason to DIS:thumbsup2

Exactly! :thumbsup2

That is what makes the DIS great! All the people like you that come back and share your experience and knowledge. We also have a great Community Board where you can just hang out and get to know others. And chances are that since you are hanging out here you will hear about a GREAT Disney Code or discount and then you will JUST have to book another trip and start planning again!

Not like I know this from experience or anything. ..:rolleyes1

theres only one cure, start planning your next trip!! june or october of 09 sounds good!! we are going oct 08 (130 days but whos counting) and we already have our dates for 09. my boss laughs because i always have my vacations up 2 years in advance. its the only thing that keeps us going!! anouther good thing to do is when you go, forget to do something you wanted to do, eat somewere, buy something, ride something that way you have an excuse to go back!! good luck!:thumbsup2

I know how you feel...it's like the anticipation keeps you on such a high, you are already dreading the letdown you're gonna feel. But, there is always going to be another trip to plan! People like us just can't get enough of the MAGIC!

Totally understand-how about doing a Trip Report when you get back? And if you're doing the DDP (or even not) you could do a separate Dining Report-take alot of pictures (esp. if you have a dig camera). We love to look a everyone's pictures.

I hear you! We're not leaving until July and I'm already wondering what I'm going to do. :)

I don't post much (as you can see), but I'll certainly keep reading the boards!

I know what you are saying! I always feel bad for about a week (starting with our last day there):( ....but then I start figuring out when we can go back and start figuring out a plan!:thumbsup2

P.S. I just found out the other day that my DD's H.S. band & orchestra is going to WDW during Spring Break 2009....so I'm already planning for that now too!!!!

Thanks a bunch ya'll. I thought I was the only one who felt that way. It's great to now I am not aloneparty:

Definitely NOT alone. There are MANY vacations to WDW yet to plan and so little time! The next one is just around the corner!! Get to it!!! Also...listen to the DIS Unplugged. You'll only be sorry it took you this long to discover it!

Most definately NOT alone!
Post-Disney blues...we all get it... :( My DH realized this problem on our first vacation when I begged him to let us book out next Disney vacation...on the plane ride home from our first.;) I feel the same thing you are going through at 180 days before our trip! ::yes:: Once my dining plans are booked I feel sort of all empty inside. ::yes::
Seriously...the first couple of weeks back are the toughest...I can't even come on the DisBoards because I can't bear listening to other people planning! :confused3 But sure enough I am back planning/booking our next trip and learning more great info and tips! I make Mickey Waffles for breakfast..watch our 4 parks DVD's and before I know it I am in full pre-planning trip mode again. :thumbsup2

I just had to quote you to say that I LOVE YOUR USERNAME!! :mickeybar

But it also reminds me that when I really need a Mickey Moment I find the Dove Ice Cream Bars to give me that little pick me up. Not as great as eating the ears first, but close! And after our first trip I spent weeks scouting every grocery store in town to try to find Itzakadoozies--our favorite discovery from our first trip. Hmm, getting to be summer, maybe time to go on another quest and stock up for the summer.

You just reminded me that I have 2 Dining reports that I need to do from my trip over a month ago. Maybe I will work on uploading pics tonight. I love taking food photos!

It is quite normal and we have that happen with each trip we plan a trip. so I help other do their stuff on her via postings. so that is what we do here.

Never alone in feeling that way! Our trip isn't until the end of August and I am starting to think about our trip in 09. The girls at my job just think I am crazy! I love coming here and reading the posts and that is what fills my time before and after our trip. Also remember your memories, try making a Disney Scrapbook! If you have a AC Moore store in your area, they carry alot of Disney supplies. I am working on pages right now for our DGS who is 2 and his first trip, so when we get back we can fill his book.
