Please help me understand linking my reservations???

We booked a last minute deal on a Disney cruise...THEN we decided to add more magic to our Disney vacation by adding 4 days at Disney World before our cruise!!! I mean, how many times have we said "We need a vacation from our Disney World Vacation!!!" (We go at Disney World HARD and FAST with little to no breaks!!! We love that, but it's exhausting!) I'm excited!!!

Usually, I book EVERYTHING through the Disney site! This time, our hotel choices weren't available through the Disney site (due to the last minute of it all). We are going in value season, so I was confused as to why it wasn't available even after just attempting to book the hotel separately with no package deals. ANYWAYS...I got a REALLY good deal (much cheaper than the Disney site) for our Disney hotel on a discount site (well known, very reputable one that I use frequently OF COURSE).

How do I link those reservations to my Disney world account on the Disney site? Does my confirmation number from that discount site work as my confirmation # on the Disney site? Or, do I need to call Disney/the hotel we're staying at and see if it's different? How long after booking the hotel does it take for the reservation to show up in the "Disney system"?

We LOVE all things Disney and we're very excited about this trip...we've been there several times after months and months of planning, so this time I'm a bit 'frazzled' because we've not done a last minute Disney trip before. I'm sure it will be amazing!!! It's just the initial 'planning' phase where everything needs to be taken care of A.S.A.P!!

I am aware that we won't get our magic bands until we check in to the hotel, because only ressies that are booked 30 days or further from the trip get them in the mail. Are there any last minute tips anyone can give me?

The point of Value Season is to lower rates to fill the hotels up. There are also cheerleaders, depending on where you're staying.

Probably not. You'll have to call them to get the specific number needed for Disney.

Can't get it from Disney. Have to get it from your booking agency. The Disney linking number is usually NOT your confirmation they send.

They are a travel agent by definition, actually.

Yes. People get codes from those sites all the time. The code is different than the confirmation number they send you. You have to call them for it.
Disney will not give it to you.

You still call them. It all still goes through them.
