Please help me pour a black and tan!

I have the Bass, I have the Guinness, I have the spoon, and my black and tans still turn out, well, black. Can anyone tell me how to pour one of these? Both the Bass and Guinness are in bottles. Thanks.

Did you turn the spoon upside down? It may turn out black, but it will still be a yummy beverage

Thanks. No, I did not turn the spoon upside down, and I did not give it time to separate. I just looked at it and said "screwed up again!" and poured it into my "waste" glass.

Hmmmm, now around here, DH would turn that "waste" glass into an opportunity to get wasted!

Poohbear123---you can do a half Harp half Guinness and that is called a half and half. Also yummy, and also hard to pour.

By turning the spoon upside down, I was able to pour a decent black and tan. And, giving it time to separate did do good things for the aesthetic aspects of the beverage. Thank you Micca and Lanshark.
