In the 5 days that we are at Disney (Oct. 28 - Nov 2) I can only find one time for Chef Mickey's for Breakfast and that is 11 a.m. on 10/29. This was the day we were going to go to Hollywood Studios but would it be better to do, say Epcot? so we can use the monorail to get to the Contemporary? Or if we did do HS, what time would I need to get on a bus to get to the Contemporary before 11?? We are planning to be at MNSSHP on the night of 10/28, so could just lay around that next morning till time for Chef Mickey's, but that would put me in a park after lunch. Anyone have advice for me?? TIA

If you take the monorail from Epcot, you will still have to switch monorails at the TTC as there isn't one that goes from Epcot to Contemporary. That monorail will then stop at Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and Magic Kingdom before getting to Contemporary. It could end up taking you just as long as a bus from Hollywood Studios. They say to allow an hour for transportation.

I would just lay around until the time of departure for Chef Mickeys. That time of year after lunch should be no problem in a park anyway. Hitting a park early like HS would really damper touring when you feel that you have to hit a time with Disney transportation to be there. You would feel rushed and maybe like you had not really gotten much done at the park prior to having to leave.

Oh, thank you! I did not even realize you had to change monorails, thought it was just one big continuous loop. So glad I asked.

You are probably right. With HS opening at 9 that day, that would only give us an hour before we had to be back on the bus!!! So, we are staying at POP! so how is best to get to the Contemporary from there? Thanks again!

Take a bus to Magic Kingdom and either walk (it takes no time at all to walk) or hop on the monorail.

Walking may be as fast and convenient as the monorail. It is a fairly short walk. You will walk as far in the opposite direction to get on the monorail as you would to get to the Contemporary.

I agree...sleep in a bit and go to breakfast before you start your day...Always good to have a few hours of down time during vacation!
