I need your help! I am going to Disneyland in December for the first time and can't decide where to stay. I am looking for a disney neighbor hotel that is *walking* distance to disneyland and is *clean*!! Breakfast and wifi included are a bonus.

Please help there are so many hotels and I cant decide what is the closest cleanest hotel?!

Thank you!

We've become fans of the Tropicana. We stay there every time now. Clean, close (10 minute walk to the gates) and they have a little market downstairs.

We like the Park Vue Inn, they are right at the crosswalk and have a decent breakfast that's included.

We love the Candy Cane Inn! Its about a 5-10 minute walk but they also offer a free shuttle. We have stayed over 10 times. Its always spotless and the staff is great! They have free parking, free WiFi and a decent free continental breakfast. You can eat in the room, in the breakfast room, which has a few small tables or poolside which is very nice!

I can honestly reccommend Best Western Park Place Inn, as I stayed there Nov/13. It's a pretty basic hotel, but it's clean, has a decent free breakfast and is right across the street from the parks. It's pool is nothing fancy, but decent. The only thing negative I can say about it is their WIFI is non existant, especially if you are in the back half of the hotel.

We stay here every year and I would also highly recommend it.

Does the BWPPI still offer "free breakfast"?
I thought it had been discontinued.

We have never stayed there so I have no comment what they have to offer. Many that have stayed there do seem to recommend it.

It is right at the crosswalk for the entrance to the parks. Location is perfect!

I second this. We have stayed here several times over the years. Free breakfast, free wifi, super close walk, clean, safe, free parking. I cannot recommend it enough.

I third the Park Vue Inn. Its a great value and the absolute closest hotel to DL main gate. The free breakfast saves a lot of time and money in the morning.

Totally hijacking, but I was considering the Fairfield Inn, any recent reviews?

Sausage, fruit, hash browns, cereal, etc but my favorite is they let you make your own waffles. One thing I have to say about their breakfast that I did not like was the coffee. But I am picky about my coffee. The absolute best thing about it was we were full until the afternoon and it was all free.

awesome! thanks! we stayed at Desert Inn last time and they had pastries, cereal, toast, fruit.
now that my kids are older, they really like pancakes and waffles.

BWPPI leases the upstairs of Capt'n Kidds for their free breakfast. I was there in Nov/13 for 6 days and to my knowledge it's still free. BWPPI cooks the food not Capt'n Kidds chefs. I found that on the average day there was the usual cereal, danishes, waffles, but also had scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and alternated bacon with sausage. Everything was fresh and good. Nothing fancy, but typical food of any hotel that has free breakfast included in the price of the room.

The INDIGO HOTEL !!!! #2 on Tripadvisor !!!! Check it out!!! No wall to wall carpets in the rooms just the look of wood flooring! Although showers only no bathtubs. We have never walked (about 3 minute drive to GCH & PPH )but others who have say it's around 10 / 15 minutes!

We are headed back to BWPPI for the umpteenth time this week. Every time we stray up or down Harbor we are disappointed to some extent (excepting on site stays of course). It is great to be able to *quickly* head across the street for a rest and a cocktail, or to grab things like sweatshirts without making an event out of it.

We usually pay somewhere in the ballpark of $130/night with AAA rate plus $10 daily parking. The breakfast does include some hot items so the kids tend to stay happy longer with protein in them [as opposed to their crash after eating a plate full of donuts at hotels with a more limited breakfast].

Not recent but we have stayed there a couple of times, most recently probably 2 years ago. It was very nice. We never had any problems there. Rooms were nice and staff was pleasant. We haven't returned because I found their prices a little higher than other places that we were considering and we feel we get a better deal at Candy Cane Inn.

Hojo's is our favorite. Our rooms have always been spotless and the walk to the parks is about 8 minutes. No breakfast but they do have free parking and free wifi.

We've had good experiences with rooms at Desert Inn and Suites as well. They have free breakfast, free wifi but charge for parking.

Both are good options but we prefer the feel of Hojos.

Really can't go wrong with either Candy Cane Inn or BWPPI. Right now those are our favorite off-site places. BWPPI, as mentioned previously, is just so convenient....right AT the crosswalk.....can't get any closer (except GCH). Candy Cane Inn is great! farther walk, but you don't have to cross Harbor Blvd (a very busy street). It is an easy walk along the fence of DCA......OR, you can take their free shuttle!! Great management and customer service at Candy Cane Inn.....something that is actually extremely important if any issues arise!!
