Please help me fix my RV

My alternator is shot and they can't find one to fix it. They also can't find anyone to rebuild it either. If you can help, please let me know.

Alternator is a Powerline 25-12, 14 volt, 190 amp

look for a local rebuild shop sounds like your shop doesnt have any local hook ups

what type of engine is in it gas or deisel who makes the engine that is in it and what size engine

i dont know what is in your area but here in green bay i use a place called green bay rebuilders

they are a great shop and do great work they have rebuilts starters and alts for us on all sorts of equipment even deutz stuff

Let me see what my dh can find. He builds trucks so these parts are usually not too difficult for him to find. I'll let you know very soon...we're texting about it now.

I called Tesla Electric here in Jax. They are a client and he said he would do what he can to help you. They usually only build motors that are about as big as your engine but have been great helping me with these things. If nobody comes through let me know. You can ship it here and I'll drop it to them.

I checked with the one and only contact I had and came up dry. But it's looking like both Bob and Lisa are pointing you in the same direction. Maybe that'll pan out?

Update: the people who are supposed to be working on it are still coming up dry, so I went the marine route (which is typical for me because most of the people who work on my rv are marine guys....more reliable and honest IMHO)

the alternator is out and has been brought to the marine shop for a rebuild...rv is still stuck where she was towed and they said they would put it back in....not going into details on the negotiations on how I got that part from them

I am still on the hunt for a used second to keep on board in case this happens again.

For those of you who don't know what engine is in the coach, 300 Cummings Diesel. 1994 34 ft Monaco Dynasty

Hope it all works out. When stuff like this happens it just makes you want to sell every thing. But then you fix it and forget about it.
