Our trip in the RV was mechanically uneventful. We had a fitting on the hot water line spring a leak, but it very minor. Everything was running smoothly. My jeep's thermostat got stuck half open and started running hot on the way up to Orlando and VACAMPER's hubby helped us out and put a new thermostat in. The funny thing was that I asked DH to call and ask how much a new thermostat was and he says "$549". I yelled in disbelief, "WHAT?" Come to find out, DH has been around RV parts too long and put the decimal point in the wrong place and we got a big laugh at his expense. We also learned that we burned the positive pole off one of the batteries on the golf cart during the fiasco with trying to charge the batteries to get the RV off the right side of the road. We burned a wire off too. This caused the golf cart to work, but not charge, so pushing the cart onto the trailer. So, not as eventful as last time, but, this is my family....nothing goes as planned.
Note to self: hire someone else whenever you plan to wire multiple sticks of dynamite for anything.
