I am bringing my DS 13, DD 15 and DD's 15 yo friend to celebrate DD's Sweet 16. We love the YC but were thinking of trying the BC this trip.

Can anyone give me some input to help me make this decision? Is there any real difference between the two aside from the decor?

I'd really appreciate any help I can get. I want this to be a special trip for my DD.

I would like to hear some opinions on this also. MY DH, DS7 and DS11 are staying at the Yacht Club for our first trip to WDW in May, but originally wanted the BC. They didn't have any rooms available at the BC for the 7/4 deal. I am thinking about changing my ressies if possible. Should I? Thanks:rolleyes:

BC has a reputation for not being as "reserved" and "uptight" as YC. Not sure how much stock to put in this, but I have found that the BC lobby does seem louder than the YC. Rooms are pretty much the same (other than the decor, of course), although YC rooms have balconies and not all BC rooms do.

Other than that, there really isn't much difference. BC is a couple hundred yards closer to Epcot and Boardwalk, but YC is closer to the MGM boat dock. They both have access to SAB. B&C is technically part of the BC, but so close to YC, it hardly matters.

They are both wonderful resorts and a trip to either will be special.

While I love both of them, if you like a full-size room balcony like I do, stick with the Yacht Club. A large majority of the Beach Club's rooms come with either no balcony or a stand up one.

Thanks for your input.
I was also thinking about upgrading to concierge. Has anyone any experience with either BC or YC concierge? Is one better/different from the other?
Thanks again,
Sarha

I like the Yacht Club's concierge a bit better. The lounge is roomier and it also offers a balcony (even though it overlooks the front of the hotel instead of the water or gardens). Can you tell I have this thing about balconies?

Have stayed at YC concierge many times; never done BC concierge. The YC concierge is great - very helpful with trip planning, the lounge is very nice (with a view of the Wishes fireworks at MK at night from the balcony) and the staff is very helpful. I'm sure the BC concierge is also very good (although I don't know about the physical facilities there), so you can't go wrong with either one.
