Hey everyone!
I figured you all would be the great experts in this and could give me better advice than some of the customer service reps...

I'm going to Disney from 8/27-9/5 and tried to see if there was any ADR's for Le Cellier...they said they were booked.

I know that a lot of people cancel their ADR's or change them...so here's my question: When is the best time to see if there could be a cancelled ADR or changed ADR???

Do I check the week that I'm there to see if there are any cancelled ADR's last minute? Or do I try and call a little before the 45 day deadline of paying for the complete trip and see if I have any luck there?

Any tips on how to get into this superb restaurant would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Not trying to discourage you, but you are going during free dining, so the chances of an ADR there are slim to say the least. Your best bet would be to use the online ADR system or call to check a few times a DAY....If a cancellation occurs, you'd have to be checking to scoop it up before it disappears again.

Good luck to you!:goodvibes

maybe closer to time, check daily if possible. then if that is not successful, try at the resort OR restaurant itself. sometimes you can be lucky as a "walk up." but that is a long shot. good luck!!:yay:

With on line dinng I be checking every chance I can. Also when ever your 45 day mark is thats a good day to ck to. People who cancel there hotel ress should cancel the dinning ress then dinning ress open. Good Luck 2 u.:thumbsup2

I agree with checking at the 45 day mark. That's when people would cancel their trip. Also check on this board for the cancel/trade ressie threads. That's how I got my reservation last year! But it is probably one of the toughest reservations to get.

We're going about the same time you're going (Aug 25-Sep 1), so I feel your pain. I tried to book this restaurant when we were 90 days out from our WDW trip (got on the phone as soon as Dining opened) and still had no luck getting a dinner ADR, but did manage to get a lunch ADR.

I don't think you mentioned in your post whether you wanted a dinner or lunch ADR. I do think that, though your chances are slim, you would more likely get in for lunch than for dinner. Good luck!!!

Try using the online restaurant booking feature at disney.com.

You can always take a peek at your leisure to see if they open any availability.

Don't give up!!!:surfweb:
I wanted dinner ressies at LC and I kept trying the online ADR system. At 11pm one evening a ressie became available for 4 on 8/31/09 @ 8:25pm. It can happen but you just have to keep checking.

I wanted to do Le Cellier for Father's Day/my daughter's 9th birthday. 90 days out, no times were available. I called every other day for 2 months - couldn't get it. I'd pretty much given up and forced myself to be happy with my Coral Reef reservation but - literally - 2 days before we were to leave Los Angeles for our trip - I checked online and saw a spot open. I grabbed it on the 15th of June for dinner reservations on the 21st!

:yay:

Don't give up - keep trying!

You can go online and look EACH day of your trip. Also, try EACH day on property. I canceled our LeCell last year and the Guest Services person was like WOW, that rarely happens. We were just to tired and wanted to head back to resort. So YES cancels DO happen each day..........
We are lucky enough to have TWO dinner reservations there this year during FREE dine.....
Best of Luck, it is YUMMY!!! :wizard:

Thanks everyone for helping...
I would want either lunch or dinner for Le Cellier...

Question though: Can I double book if I find an opening online? The reason I am asking is because I'm hearing if I double book on certain day, that both reservations cancel on that day...is that true?

Anyways, give me advice on this whenever you can :)

I booked online for a reservation, went online later and found a better time. I booked it but made sure to call and cancel immediately and it was fine.

I dont think you would want to wait to long and test to see if it works.

Keep trying - you might luck into it. I got a reservation there on my first call (free dining week and I am only 60 days out), the CM was amazed, said someone must have just cancelled it.
