Has anyone driven from central MA that could give some advice? We live 10 minutes from MASS Pike, 84 and 395. What is the best route to get us to I-95? We are starting out at 6pm and driving through the night. Any help is greatly appreciated!

You might be better off taking the Tapanzee Bridge ( Rte 287 )
to the Garden state parkway ( I think )
and then taking the Garden state parkway to the New Jersey turnpike.

Hello, we are also driving from Mass (Framingham) in late April. If you are a member of AAA, have them prepare a Trip Tik for you. I had them do two routes, one going Rt 95 (except thru Ny and NJ) and another using an inland route to avoid the Beltways around Baltimore and Washington DC. According to AAA, the inland route is about 100 miles longer, but driving time is the same due to less traffic.

Also have used the freetrip.com website which is great, plus take a look at travelcoupons.com, just in case you decide to not drive straight thru.

If you want let me know and I can e-mail you with more detailed info.

Have a great trip!!

One tip do not go through DC in the morning around 7 - 9 AM and in the evening around 4:30 - 6PM. The traffic on the beltwat is very very very bad. Have a safe and great trip.
