Newbie here considering buying into DVC and I have a couple general questions if someone could be so kind as to help me, please....

1. As a DVC member, are you entitled to Magic Express or do you have to hire/rent transportation.

2. Are the DVC resports part of the regular resorts? If so, are you then able to utilize the Disney buses.

3. What are the annual dues that you pay? Is it a % of your points?

We have gone to WDW each of the last 2 years and I am trying to look into all of this before we plunk down another few thousand dollars at a resot this year. How can I fugre if DVC is worth it for me? We would not go more than once/year and we have stayed at a value and a deluxe.

Thank you so much! As you can imagine my head is now swimming!!!!

DVC members stayong on points receive all the resort services (except daily housekeeping) that cash Disey customers receive, including Magical Express, resort transportation, room charging, package delivery of park purchases, extra magic hours, free parking at the parks, etc.

In additon to that, there are some Member perks like free valet parking at DVC resorts that offer it, some monor dining discounts, and discounts on Annual Passes.

The dues/maintenance fees vary from resort to resort, based on the operating budget of that resort. Your membership is deeded to a specific resort. They are on a "per point" basis annually. Currently, at OKW, they are $4.40 per point, which seems about average for this year. AKV dues are higher, SSR dues are lower...but that can change from year to year.
