Please Encourage This Ride Chicken To Try TOT

Definitely give it a try. It doesn't seem like you drop 13 stories at once. My DD-15 does not like drops at all and didn't go on the first time we rode. My DH bribed her with $1 (LOL-it doesn't take much) She went on and loved it. Rode it several more times. (She did take the $1 too)

Definitely try it.

Definitely try this ride. I would also like to echo the comment about relaxing while on the ride. After riding it several times while very tense and pressing down on the bar, the last time I rode it, I relaxed and let the bar stay an inch or so above my legs. The falls felt so different. Almost like jumping on a trampoline.

You are right to be afraid. It is terrifying. You feel like you are going to be thrown out of the ride. Also you will most likely get dizzy lightheaded and nauseated. I saw one lady throw up in the gift shop right after getting off.

I rode ToT and I promise you that if I can ride it - you can too!! We planned our trip for over a year and the WHOLE time I told my DS (age 11) I would NEVER ride ToT. We finally get to there and he begs and begs me. I went through the beginning and had to take the "chicken" exit.

A few days later we went to MK and rode HM- mine and DH's fav. ride. My DD (age 6) freaked out!! Said she would never ever ride HM again!!

Later that day we go back to MGM. DS is once again begging me to go on ToT. I say absolutely NOT. DD smiles and says "if you ride ToT with me then I will ride HM again with you." So now I am cornered. I love HM so much and I want to be able to ride it again before we leave. So after being called a chicken many times by my young children I finally agreed.

DD and I screamed the whole time - but boy was it fun!! I am very glad I did it and I have a great memory with my children. I conquered my fear and realized that I was only really scared of the unknown. The drop is a lot of fun.

Oh, and DD did ride HM with me and she now loves it too. ;)

HairyAriel's comments suggest the need for Dramamine, so I will dose myself! I told my DH last night that thanks to all of you, I am definitely going for it. He think's I'm nuts (neither of us likes heights), but I know my Brother and Sister-In-Law love TOT, so I will ride with them.

Thanks everyone!

Use the non drousy or it's actually called lessdrousy dramine. My DH an Itake 2 less drousy dramine each am on vacations with large cup of coffee. We never get tird an can even ride the tea cups with DD who spins till we used to buke. Not anymore!! Also we took my mom to WDW dec 2001 an talk about chicken she freeked just watching R&R take off we just wanted her to go through the line with us and show her the que, but she loves the twlight zone. Anyway we convinced her to just go through the que to the chicken exit and figured no way my 70yr mom would go on but we had her hooked , we sat on either side of her in the row back one from the front we told her to keep her eyes open or you miss the best part. We know the feeling when the car goes over a big bump after going up and you have seen 2 different floors we then took her hand tight and warnred her. She ended up going 2 tomes that trip although she did scream SH--!! The first drop. Every one was laughing at her. If my 70yr chicken mom can ride -u- can. By the way she knew it was probably her only trip d/t her health so thre last day she rode R&R coaster with me!!! I ahve the picture to prove it, although we did have to pry her fingers from the harness and lift her out. :) great memories you will make with family that will last forever. Have fun and let us all know when you get home.
