I'm having a hard time planning a good itinerary for my February 8-15 trip. President's Day is the day after we return home, so I'm afraid that the parks will be very crowded during the second part of our week. Normally, I would start with AK and work up to MK for our last park, but I think I need to do MK early in the week due to crowds. Here's what I've got:

Who: 4 adults and 1 almost three year old
Where we're staying: Orange Lake Country Club

Sun., 2/8: grocery shopping, dinner at Chef Mickey's, and a ride on the monorail

Mon., 2/9: Animal Kingdom, dinner at Boma

Tuesday, 2/10: MK

Wednesday, 2/11: MK

Thursday, 2/12: Downtown Disney or water park if weather permits

Friday, 2/13: MGM

Saturday, 2/13: EPCOT

Sunday, 2/14: Return home :(

We plan to take breaks every afternoon except for Monday, and we will be having a nice dinner every night. My worry about this itinerary is that it puts us at AK on its early entry day.

Any suggestions anyone has will be greatly appreciated!!

I'm certainly not an expert, but would it be possible for you to switch AK and Epcot? Saturday seems to be a "recommended" day for AK from what I've read, and Epcot should be okay on Monday.

We'll be at the MK on Wednesday right along with you!:wave2:

It would be a shame to go to Epcot on Sat and miss out on some attractions and have to go home the next day. I might combine the 2nd MK day and head over to World Showcase in the afternoon. That way that last full day won't fill so rushed. You may be able to combine DTD with a short visit to one of the parks.

Just some ideas.

What kind of passes do you have?

We are firm believers in doing two parks a day - morning park, break, then afternoon/evening park. With that in mind:

On Monday, do MK in the morning and head to AK after lunch (please see the parade at AK - it's a corker!). Short bus ride to your dinner at Boma.

Tuesday: MGM (EMH) til lunch, MK (parade, WISHES)

Wednesday: Epcot (EMH) Future World til lunch, MGM (Fantasmic)

Thursday: Keep your lan

Friday: AK (EMH) til lunch then Epcot Worldshowcase (Illuminations)

Saturday: Check hours, MK will probably be open late this night so sleep in and head to MK later in the day.

Maybe not everyday, but some days can be split. Of course you know what your particular group can handle and/or would prefer, but for our family somedays being split works well. Allow me to explain what we plan for next month:
Sat 12/13 Epcot 2:30 Lunch@Garden Grill
go back, freshen up head to MK for Spectro & Wishes
Sun 12/14 MK (EE) 10:10 CRT breakfast, leave MK by 1:00
MGM until after Fantasmic
Mon 12/15 MK leave after 3:00 parade
rest, dinner@Boma (7:00)
Tues 12/16 AK leave @ 12 noon
resort swim, naps, 5:15 dinner@CP
MVMCP
Wed 12/17 Sleep in, head back to AK leave after parade
rest, dinner@'Ohana
Thur 12/18 MK lunch @resort swim, rest
Epcot for 5:00 CP, stay 'til Illuminations
Fri 12/19 MK leave after 3:00 parade
break, Hoop Dee Doo
Sat 12/ 20 Check-out, MGM, 7:00 PM flight

VERY TENTATIVE! A lot for us will depend on weather. And of course we know we are only as strong as our weakest link! We'll have to see how the 3 princesses hold up!

Happy planning!

LOL!!! This is soooooooooooo true! Always be prepared to haul everyone back to your resrt for naps or just hanging out!

Thanks everyone for the great ideas! I hadn't really thought too much about splitting the days between two parks - except for maybe heading to EPCOT (like jordanyosh suggested) after MK closes if we have any steam left.

Harambe - We will have 1 day left from our 1999 honeymoon park hoppers plus new 5 day park hopper plus tickets. We're staying off world, though, so we need to try to avoid EMH parks as much as possible.

jcemom - I like your idea, but I'm afraid that if we do AK as the last park, my son will find it boring.

Okay, now I'm going to try to re-work some days!

Thanks again!
