She is doing a bit better this afternoon. She is warming up to the resort. She really is a good teen (as far as teens go) she follows the rules, does her school work without fail, cleans up after herself, but she has alot of freak out moments, alot of which is associated with her OCD and anxiety issues. She also has her PMS moments. I think today was a combination of both. I just want her to love our trip as much as she did the last one.
Thanks to all of you who offered advice and support (and a good laugh)
I think thats the key to raising teens, you gotta laugh ALOT!
I have 3 teenage daughters. My oldest is 18 and I have twin 13 year olds. We have stayed 8 times at POR and once at POFQ and they all loved it. Their favorite resort store in all of WDW is Fultons at POR. They love it so much that we often make a special trip there just to visit Fultons and the rest of the main building when we stay at another resort. The food court, arcade and marina are fantastic as are the pools. We preferred the decor of the buildings and gardens in Magnolia Bend as opposed to the bayou, but that's just us. POFQ was a wonderful treat and we all fell in love with it. The boat to DTD is a great perk at these resorts and we enjoy the fact that you have access to both POR and POFQ (including a sitdown restaurant, 2 lounges, multiple pools, 2 stores, 2 food courts,...) and easy transportation to DTD. The variety made us feel far less isolated here than at CBR (although that resort is also wonderful). Our girls were always a little hesitant each time we tried a new Disney resort in the past because they develop attachments, but they were glad in every case that they did. I hope your daughter warms up to your plans and that you have your most magical vacation ever!
