They have done away with the bedtime stories on resort tv. There are hundreds of kids (mine included) that love these bedtime stories and drift off to sleep watching them. These bedtime stories say "Yes your in the House of Mouse" If you have kids, had kids or plan to have kids someday or maybe you yourself enjoy this sweet Disney treat please complain when you stay at your resort to the Resort manager. Let our voice be heard. The good people on this BB are a motivated group. If you don't mind please call when your at the World. Thanks :goodvibes

WHAT????!!!! :(

How could they do that? That's one of the things Gabe specifically looks forward to when we go to WDW!. Oh man. how am I going to explain this one to him?

Maybe the powers that be are reading this? Please put the stories back!

What address would we complain to, is there an email address? My son LOVES this too, he will be so upset this is missing from bedtime this year.

Walt Disney World Guest Communications

Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-0040

Heck - I was upset when I was there a couple weeks ago and I'm 30!

I wonder what their reasoning is behind taking it off? My two DSs really enjoyed the bedtime stories as well. It was just one of the little things that make the World special.

How much could this possibly cost to run? Is there an e-mail address to complain to?

I can not believe these are gone! I also wish they would run them a bit later so those of us who stay at the parks a bit longer would have a way to calm our little ones down.

I am writting my letter to disney today!

As someone who used to work front desk, PLEASE use the guest communications address rather than going to the front desk manager. He or she has nothing to do with the tv channels offered and there is nothing that we can't stand more at the front desk than someone taking up our space and time to complain about something that the manager has no control over and can not change right that instant. You'll do a lot better to just write to Disney.

Did they use the channel for anything else? If it isn't just dead air, then that would explain why they took it off. (Might be the same reason why some of the colors are changing on the DIS this week. :))

We had been looking forward to this bonus at bedtime and it was greatly missed. Channel 20 was grayed at POR and WL is this were it was?
Luckily my hubby brought a cable to hook up our digital camera to the tv and the kids had the nightly ritual of watching "what we did today around the world" before bed.

We always do this, too!

If you want to email, go to Disneyworld.com and click on Contact Us and Guest Communications will get it and I always get a reply with a few days.

As stated trying to send a complaint to the resort only is a waste of your time and theirs. :thumbsup2

I'm almost positive the bedtime stories were on the same channel as Radio Disney. I thought it was channel 17 or maybe 16.

Wasn't there a sale of some stations of Radio Disney a week or so ago? Is there anyway the two things could be related?

We will miss them too. But perhaps there is a chance that they will again be on some channel if it is somehow tied in with the sale. :confused3

There was a thread on this just this week and someone got a reply to an e-mail stating that they didn't do away with the bedtime stories. I'll have to go look for it.

Just confirming - we stayed at Boardwalk Feb. 2nd of this year and the bedtime stories were gone! Our kids were very disappointed.

We were rarely in the room early enough for the stories, even when the kids were little. But we did find that they are only the "read-along" CDs you can buy at Target, etc. We have many of these and DS listens to them before bed sometimes as he is the youngest (7). Perhaps if they don't bring them back at WDW, your kids can get their "story fix" at home.

loved the bedtime stories! Also boticed when staying at the dvc- ate beach club, they played on ch 99 the old cartoons loop, my kids favorite, but not at Old Key West!

Sorry I've been MIA my kids were unwell. I'm not suggesting writing Resort Managers and complaining. I'm suggesting when you are physically at your WDW resort express your displeasure and ask to have the bedtime stories back. If TPTB don't hear from the WDW Resort Managers that people are upset that the stories are gone ~ they'll stay gone. Imagine yourself being the person who thought the bedtime stories a "waste of $$$" and decided to do away with them. All of a sudden Resort Managers from all over WDW are calling you because their customers are complaining to them "Wheres my bedtime stories??!!" I think its effective. I also E mailed and expressed my thoughts.
