Please bring back the main street bakery!!!!

I agree.
I gave SB bakery 3 chances and they failed. All 3 pastries I had were not good.
I wish they would just changed the coffee and keep the old bakery pastries. Don't care about where they were made, they were just way better than SB's offerings.
But I do enjoy current stuffs at france's bakery. (Never had their old napoleons so I don't have any say in that). I'm glad they updated it.

Does anyone happen to know if the Starbucks on Main Street accepts Starbucks gift cards, Disney gift cards, or both? I know our Barnes & Noble book store has a Starbucks in it, but does not accept SB gift cards. I normally don't like SB, but some how manage to accumulate a lot of SB gift cards around christmas, since I'm a teacher, kids always go for starbucks since there is one by the school (even though I always get my coffee at home or Dunkin). Anything to save some $$ while at the world.

I used my Starbucks card there this week.

Do they still pump the fresh baked aroma into Main Street? I always thought that it was so funny that they did that.

ETA: I just saw that they don't now. That would seem like a simple fix.

According to several other posters, they still do!

All I know is, I'm definitely going to be sniffing the air the next time I'm in the magic kingdom!

Agree, if they HAD to do this, couldnt they have least made it a Dunkin'? They're coffee rules... I think when I go there, I need to wear my DD t-shirt that says"Friends dont let friends drink Starbucks"

Absolutely nothing... Same to be said about Dole Whip.. It's amazing what people fixate on..

I have to admit... I LOVE Starbucks coffee... but I do wish they would have left the rest of the bakery alone. I wish they would have kept the baked goods they normally sold in there. But I love me a PSL!!!

Ditto. I don't like having to go all the way to Gaston's to get the giant cinnamon roll. I love Starbucks as well but they could have included the Disney baked goods as well.

Yep. When I mentioned this to DH, he said almost the same thing. And thanks for clarifying that I did not miss nirvana on our previous trips.

Idk about cinnimon rolls never had one. I don't care for them generally but I'm over the moon about the coffee change. I drink coffee morning noon and night so having semi palatable coffee=a happy mom. Where I live not only do we not have Starbucks we do not have any coffee shops my only choice is gas station coffee if I don't have my travel cup with me. My kids and mom are glad too. I'm way more pleasant when I'm heavily caffinated.

However I am sorry they took the rolls. My mom loved them....now she can find something new that she's not tried before .

I can't agree more. I hate Starbucks coffee, but I never really went to Main Street Bakery for the coffee anyway. So if it was JUST a coffee replacement, I wouldn't care. But the fact that they've completely taken over ... awful.

We tried the cinnamon buns at Gastons and they are not the same. They have maple frosting and they are dry--not warm and gooey!!

They had changed them before they moved them. For what reason, who knows? But they were definitely maple before the move to Gastons.

I'm curious though if people are going back after 11 am, and they still don't have any of the old baked goods out. Supposedly that is what they were going to do, sell only Starbucks stuff until 11 am and then add some Disney goodies to the mix. Are they not doing that?

Sadly for every person upset over the loss of more traditional bakery items at the original MSB there are 10 Starbucks addicts lined up like lemmings to get their Skinny Venti Cinnamon Dolce Latte with no whip and two Equals.

"Traditional bakery items" that we mass produced off site, and then trucked in. At least with Starbucks the coffee is made right when you order it.

I stopped by the new Starbucks on Main Street yesterday for the first time. Hoping to go to the one in Epcot tomorrow. Loved it! Sorry to hear that so many people don't like it - but judging by the long lines in there yesterday, I am guessing it was a good change for Disney.

The Cinnamon rolls at Gaston's Tavern are just as good. Had them twice on our 9 day trip. I will point out, they aren't nearly as easy to get as you're leaving the park for the day, however, there's much less of a line at the end of the day, then was typical at Main St. Bakery at park closing. We always like to get them as we leave, and enjoy them for breakfast the next morning!

I used my iPhone Starbucks app there no problem! So, I would guess that SBux gift cards would work just fine.

I wish they would have kept more of the "disney" baked goods displayed (I know the bottom shelf is "disney" but part of the fun is getting something "unique" to the parks) and I am happy that there is real coffee being served.

Now if only it was a Peets, I would be over the moon.
