Pleasantly surprised at Coronado Springs!

It really is a beautiful resort for a moderate. I ended up in Cabanas 9B. I had a corner room right up on the 2nd floor and a beautiful water view, we were right next to bus stop 1, and el centro and a very short walk across this small bridge to the main pool. All in all I really liked this resort! I was closer to the main pool than the quiet pool. The food options at CS were really great too.
I just wish that the sink counter space was bigger. with the coffee pot and ice bucket on it, there isn't much room left.
another nice thing about CS is that you don't have to share your bus with 4 other resorts!

Thanks for the review kid at heart!! I'll be staying at CSR when I go down in just over 2 weeks, and was excited already, but now I'm even more excited! The only other place I've stayed on property is CBR, which, of course, is currently closed for refurbishment, so I was really guessing when I made my ressies! Glad you liked it and hope I do as well!!

The pictures that I had seen of this resort did not do it justice! once I saw it for myself I really loved it! Cabana's 9B was a perfect location!I was in 9643.

Thanks for the review kid at heart. My husband and I will be staying at CSR for the first time in Feb. I have a few questions.

1. Did anyone in your party use the Fitness Center?
2. Did you do any take out from the Pepper Market?
3. Did you rent any bikes or water craft at CSR while you were there?
4. Did you eat at the Maya Grill?
5. Are they still running a bus to the BW area after 4pm?

Any help you can provide will be greatly appriciated.

When I checked in they told me I could use the fitness area, but with a 5 yr old that wasn't happening!LOL
Take out fromt he pepper market was easy and very good!
ate breakfast at maya grill the last morning and it was really good and cheaper than the other buffets in the parks!
Never got to rent any watercraft or bikes.
The buses ran pretty late.But to get from resort to resort its a royal pain in the butt. I know the people in the room next to me had to go to DTD to get back after 10 pm from a late ps at the concourse steakhouse. They went from the contemp on a bus to DTD then caught the CS springs bus from there back to the resort. (I was talking to them at the pool while we were sitting in the hot tub.)

Thanks a kid at heart. We always rent a car so we will just drive over to the BW. I asked about the bus because when the CSR first opened they ran a bus from CSR to the BW from 4pm on. There was word that that bus had been cut out I was just checking.

I agree that getting from Resort to Resort by bus is a nightmare. That is why we always rent a car. We enjoy eating at and touring all of the different resorts.

Thankyou so much for taking the time to post your experience at CSR, A Kid at Heart !!

We will be staying there in 8 DAYS !
Even though I have seen alot of pictures on various websites,it always helps to read good reports

I have listed the Casitas as our first choice building, and the Cabanas as our second choice. Mainly only because I love the garden areas at the Casitas.
Did you fax in a request for the Cabanas ?

Also--after you checked in, were you taken to your room by a bellhop?

I love CSR as well. We were also pleasantly surprised on our first stay back in August. It is a beautiful hotel with first class ammenities. I can't wait to go back!

No I never faxed or made any kind of a room request until I checked in thursday morning.
Since I was coming from another resort they brought my bags to my room for me. I was literally right next tot he main bldg so I walked the very short walk.
I think that I would definitely stay at this resort again! The main pool was really nice too, it was fun sitting on the steps as the water came down!That makes for a really nice kodak moment! LOL
I thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub!

We love CSR too!! It is a great resort. We won't be staying this this trip because no codes were offered and it works out easier for us to stay at the Contemporary because we are going to the Happy Haunts event and MNSSHP. I'll be thinking about the Pepper Market and the Dig Site.

We really liked CSR during our stay there back in August 1999. It is the newer of all the moderates (opened in 1997) and it does indeed border on being a deluxe resort.

The main pool "The Dig Site" is great, as is the Jaguar Slide (I went down several times myself--all the adults did!)

The playground is great for kids of all ages, and the resort is so pretty at nighttime with the lights reflecting off of the water!

I faxed a request in 3 or 4 days in advance for a room in Cabana 8A and we got it! We had some problems with the room smelling terribly of cigarette smoke, so we were given two choices, stay in the same building, or move over to the Rancho section. We stayed in Cabana 8A and got a waterview room (without asking!)

When we first checked in, we weren't taken to our room in one of those little luggage carts, we had our car with us, so we drove around to the building we were in, and unloaded our luggage ourselves.

Cabanas 9B was perfect! if I stay there again I hope to get the same location!
