Went to Dl lastnight. I've been craving fried chicken and couldnt remember who sold good fried chicken. We stopped at Plaza Inn to look at the menu and saw the fried chicken. Wasnt expecting to pay over $10 for dinner but dd saw fettacine alfredo and wanted that. Portions lloked big so I was thinking dd wouldnt eat her adult size portion so dh could have 1/2 of her and 1/2 of my chicken. I knew dh wanted his clam chowder bowl. He decided he wanted his own potluck meal. The food was sooooooooo good!!!!!!!!!!!!! We ended paying $45.74 after 15% Ap discount for 3 adult meals and 3 drinks.

The green beans were so yummy. I'll have to get the recipe.

The Plaza Inn chicken dinner is SOOO good! The beans are yummy, the mashed potatoes, the biscuit...the crispy fried chicken! It's my favorite meal in the parks!

Absolutely agree. Plaza inn Chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, coke, and chocolate cake are my go to meal at Disneyland.

I want 3 bites of the chicken, 2 bites of the potatoes, a bite of the beans and the cake, and a sip of the Coke. I'm uninterested in the biscuit. :snooty:

This is so unfair. I'm so hungry and there is no food in my house. Need to go grocery shopping.

Just 3 weeks and I will be sharing the fried chicken dinner with my little cousin! YUMMMMMM!!!

I love the fried chicken plate! DH and I always get it on each trip and split it. One plate fills both of us up to the top! Can anyone send me some crispy skin...please?

OMG I keep reading about the delicious fried chicken but that was the first photo I've seen of it! It looks heavenly. I can't wait to eat it in Jan. I'm focusing on food this next trip, lol.

My dh doesnt care for chicken :/ but I had to figure out a budget way so we can still eat there-lol! I even told dd12 she can split the meal with me but she wants her own meal. The fett meal was to much for her so maybe with a kids meal and some of my chicken. Dh said he'll get the pot roast. I so wish I had some of their chciken yum!!!!!!!!!! Anyone know where I can get the green bean recipe

I LOVE their chicken dinner!!! Since the adult chicken meal is too much food for me - I get the kids chicken dinner. It is just the right size with a drumstick, mashed potatoes (substituted for something else that I can't recall) and apple slices.

Also, the strawberry shortcake and apple pie are wonderful! I hate that they have the desserts right by the salad station!

I didnt see the strawberry shortcake. There were two different types of cake chocolate and not sure but I'll say maybe carrot cake. If i had seen strawberry shortcake i would have got one yum! yum! Anyone have a picture of the shortcake?

I shared the fried chicken with my mom, and it was more than enough for both of us. If anyone is interested, just wanted to let you know that you can get all white meat (e.g. 2 breasts) if you don't want the leg & thigh. That's what we did, and it was perfect.

This was our first dinner of our first night in DL just last week. We were at the Halloween party and ended up at the Plaza Inn starving! Our two kids each got a pasta kid's meal, DH got an adult's pasta meal and I got the fried chicken. All was delicious but we spent $60 for all of it! It was way too much food for us. From then on, we would order two adult meals, two large drinks and dessert and split it between the four of us. It filled us up and was much easier on the pocketbook :)

Loved the fried chicken dinner - it was delicious. I wasn't expecting to like it as much since it was "cafeteria style", but the chicken was crispy and the pieces were big. Sides were so good too.

The fried chicken is the best! Bf and I always get that and a side salad to split and we leave Plaza Inn very full and happy.

OP here........ since it was our 1st visit

we asked waiter if there were free refills. He said..... yes . Do you refill your glass or get a new glass?

Do they have to go boxes for leftovers? I seen a lady put her leftover chicken in a ziplock sandwich size bag, that she pulled out of her purse
.

Oh by the way we got there about 6pm and were starving. BIG MISTAKE!!!! lol!
After our huge yummy dinner we didnt feel like going on a lot of rides. We ended up doing trotopia the car ride. But we had a nice time just walking around and watching the firework show. I love my AP

Take your glass and refill it for free.

Not sure about boxes for left overs.

We eat there a lot with our three children because two fried chicken dinners and a salad with 5 drinks + AP discount is around $35. There are free refills...just run up to the fountain and use your original glass. We've also taken food to go...they'll give you a box, no problem! Nice trick though, bringing a ziplock bag! I'll have to remember that so that when we are waiting for Peter Pan I'll have something to snack on!

Good to know! :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if you can purchase an extra biscuit for the adult chicken meal? DBF and I were thinking of splitting the meal on our next trip, but we both love biscuits too much to share!

Thanks for this tip Lisa as I prefer the chicken breast over the leg or thigh. :goodvibes
