Playa Mia or Isla Passion

Any recent experience with either excursion? We usually book excursions on our own but I will have a 2 year old this time so we can’t. I’m leaning toward Playa Mia but I read somewhere that the experience is different because you have to stay with your Disney group.

We just did Isla Pasion two days ago. And yes, you are required to stay with your group. We all boarded the catamaran and sailed to the island. They literally had a rope splitting the island (Carnival was there too). When the 3.5 hours was up, we all met at a waiting point, sailed back to the ship and had to check back in on board. If you broke away from the group tour, then Disney said you would need to be quarantined.
