ATTRACTS BUTTERFLIES: attracts bees
DELICATE FLOWERS: need a magnifying glass to see
DROUGHT TOLERANT: prone to rot
TOLERATES MOIST SOIL: water the heck out of it or it will wilt & die
LATE TO EMERGE:looks dead most of the year
DORMANT IN HOT WEATHER: looks dead most of the year
VIGOROUS: will take over your garden & you will never get rid of it
INVASIVE: see vigorous, plus will come up through a foot of concrete
UNUSUAL: ugly as hell

Why is it that so many of my plants fit those (real) descriptions? ;)

Maybe we can add a few more of our own!

EASY TO GROW: not in my garden!

FRAGRANT: if you stick your nose right in it..(you know Vanessa, like lilacs..;) )

PROLIFIC BLOOMER: is three blooms considered prolific?

Any others, Buds? :)

Long and leggy.....looks like a weed but it's not cus it has a flower on top

Tolerates dry shade......only in South America on alternate Tuesdays in January

Drought resistant....can't kill it with a stick and everyone asks you why that weed is growing in the garden.

Needs staking - tall, spindly stem with a too heavy flower head on top. Isn't long and leggy because if it were, no one would buy it.

Prune vigorously ..... cut it down, bozo.....or it will become the thing that ate your garden

Rapid spreading....don't turn your back or it will eat your prize petunias, choke your rose bush and cover your fence.

Low maintenance.....don't believe it....dead within a month

Always thought that about the first one - attracts butterflys. Yeah, Butterflys and YellowJackets!!

Very funny thread. Enjoyed very much. Thanks.
