Hi guys, I am planning on going to WDW next Winter from around just before Christmas to after New Year, I've never been in Winter before just in the Summer, is there a big change in weather? Also is it busier then compared to Summer.

I also wondered if I book it for those dates will I get free dining on the whole trip or just part of the trip that falls in 2012?

Thanks,

Blair.

we went February this year and the temperatures were fine for us and our toddlers. The parks were pretty empty to which was good.

However I have been told by several cast members that Christmas is super busy and expensive.

Were planning on going again either end of October 2012 for Halloween or the beginning of February 2013 as both time are fairly quiet and not to expensive :)

Hi there

I have not know any free dining over Christmas and New Year - but you can get it in December. How early will you be going?

We have been quite a few times in December and the weather will be considerably cooler than in summer. Last December it was down to 10 and 12 some days :sad2: so you definitely needed warmer clothes. Other days it was warm enough to go in the pool (although the CM thought we were mad at BB!)

As for crowds, I find it is normally ok up to the 21st or 22nd and then you will see a huge difference. Although if you get there early you can still get a lot done. :)

Christmas is extremely busy! The weather we had in January one year was cold. We woke up to ice somedays, but on another days it was tee shirt weather! Its one of the times of year that you basically plan for everything from very cold to very warm!! We didn't know it was going tobe THAT COLD:scared1: and had to buy a load of warm clothes. Disney got a fair wack of our money that year spent on warm clothing that we hadn't planned for:)

Oh ok I just remembered we went in October 2009 I think and it was great I loved it apart from the fact that we just got back and it was straight back to work/school due to only being able to go for the maximum 2 weeks without missing school.

Heyy :) awwh ok I'd be planning on going around the 19th :) haha I remember going in October and it was slightly cooler then but locals were going about in hoodies and our family were still in shorts and tees. Thanks for the help I'm now considering just going next summer like normal haha :P

Oh ok thanks for the advice, I don't mind the cold. Now I'm trying to figure out if it's worth going for the experience of Christmas and New Year at Disney? haha :P

Thanks guys :)
