Planning our Wilderness Lodge Adventure! Nov 8-15 ~ We are back!

we did "disney training" too!!! lol it helped really!

we got a deal on a peg perego aria stroller at albeebaby.com.....$100 w/free shipping...lightweight, reclines and travels well, she has been in it since 6 mths...her first trip to California..it was an older model..lol..like 2005 so it was cheaper!

our dinner adr's were later in the evening....after nap time.....7 or so....but she was taking later naps....it seemed to take her awhile to wind down in the room after returning...luckily it always rained a bit when we returned!!
ok..just a few pics.....

Oooh, gonna check out albeebaby.com! $100 is very doable, and Peg Pergo is a very good brand from what I hear! Thank you for the link!

Henry's bedtime is 8:30 pm, his afternoon nap is usually around 2:00 pm, and then after that he's up until 8:30 (sometimes with a 45 minuter in there somewhere). I was thinking 5 pm ADRs, then if he's still going strong we can hit a few more rides after dinner.... I'll also keep it in mind that it might take him a bit to wind down after we get back to the room! Good to know!

YEA PICS!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:

asleep...this was her longest day......

Boma baby! Man, does that sound YUMMY!

And yes, I realize they have good coffee for breakfast here...:rotfl: Makes it all the more appealing!!!!!

I'm such an addict!

I think I'll bring this up to DH - see what he thinks. Maybe we'll play it by ear, while we are there, if we get up early one morning and want a good breakfast, I'll suggest it. Does anyone know how 'in demand' it is for breakfast? Could we even do a walk-up?

I don't know how in demand it is at Boma's but when we stayed at WL this past August, we walked right in at Whispering Canyon Cafe for breakfast. It depends on when you are going. (The breakfast skillet at WCC was very good too just to confuse you more). ;)

Disneybride.....what a cutie!!!:cutie:

Oh that's right! The giant skillet - all you can eat - also comes at breakfast! I am so gonna gain 90 pounds! :rotfl:

Disneybride....I LOVE the pics!!!!!!!!!! She is so so cute! :goodvibes Thank you for sharing!!

Looks like she did really great with the characters too. I gotta get at least a couple character pictures - they are so adorable.

Great shot of the stroller too! I went to the albeebaby site and so far that same stroller (2006 model) is our top choice. $89.99 plus only $4.95 for shipping! :yay: About how much does it weigh?

And by the way....Training Course Three went pretty well. Henry got hungry about 10 minutes into it, so we'll resume activites this afternoon. He REALLY enjoyed a song they played on there between shows though!

yay brook....that was a good photo of the stroller...! thats why i posted that one!1 its abt 9 lbs if that! so easy to fold up and carry! And there is a handle on the side! That is a great price~~

Thank YOU for allowing me to share on your thread!!

ava say thanks to you and stepdisney:)

03-19-2008 - More Disney Training

Sorry for the hiatus there...real life got in the way! ;) I did make a post, but apparently the DIS ate it or somethin'....:confused3

Well, things here have been cookin' along. Henry is undergoing some rigorous Disney Training, and with the great help of DisneyBride03!

First, I mentioned his second course involved a Pooh bib....and it was a bit messy! DH and I were grocery shopping and Henry was wanting to grab everything and anything in the cart, I walked past a display of Winnie the Pooh bibs (and Tigger too!) and couldn't believe they were only $1! I grabbed one off the rack and gave it to DS to play with while we shopped. He took right to it, of course! Instantly went into the mouth!

When we got home it was dinner time, so I pulled out the sweet potatoes and put on his new favorite bib:

Maybe he'll make a good association here...Winne the Pooh/good food, Winne the Pooh=good. :teeth:

The next course involved DisneyBride03. You can see her adorable daughter in the post above wearing an adorable shirt "I (Mickey Head) Mom". Well, DisneyBride posted this picture on another thread we are both part of (as well as several others of you!), the "AKL Lite" thread on the Community Boards. When I saw the picture, I thought it was so cute! I asked DisneyBride where she had gotten it....and naturally, it was the Disney Store! I live in a very small town, no Disney store is all that close to us. I think the closest is the Mall of America. And, the shirt was a Valentine's Day promo type-so chances are they would be sold out. And, I had no idea when we'd be returning to the Mall of America...so I was a bit bummed.

BUT THEN, DisneyBride said she would SEND it to me when Ava was done with it!!!! WHAT?! Did I read that right?! This woman, who I don't even know other than online, is going to mail me this great shirt! Wow! I was dumbfounded and shocked. How incredibly generous.

The day the box arrived, we found more than just the shirt too...we found...

A Mickey hat and two luggage tags:

The hat is Mickey in a hot air balloon - it's super cute!

Henry's first Disney dollar:
IMG_4139Small.jpg

AND the awesome shirt!
IMG_4123Small.jpg

And of course it was all wrapped up in Disney bags, and a Disney box which DisneyBride had decorated with Henry's name. Henry really enjoyed playing with the box! ;)

I was overcome with her generosity! Thank you again DisneyBride and Miss Ava! I can't wait for Henry to wear the shirt...and I'll be sure to take LOTS of pics!

I also mentioned I took pictures of Henry's first exposure to the Disney channel....here they are:

IMG_4078Small.jpg

And yes, he has his hands behind his head and his ankles crossed. And I promise, I did not pose him like this! It's his trademark...he sleeps like this too!

He was so into it, he didn't even look at me with the camera, and usually he can't take his eyes off the camera!
IMG_4073Small.jpg

All he needs is a cold beverage next to him, eh?

And the same day we did the Disney channel I also took pictures of him playing with his musical tigger:

IMG_4084Small.jpg

I love you Tigger!

So, lots of Disney exposure. We will be continuing these courses on a regular basis.

Oh! And I almost forgot! My DH had this big fancy camera for a software project he did years ago. The camera was basically just collecting dust, as we have a nice hand held one now, and his old camera is a professional grade. In short-we didn't need it. So we sold it on craigslist. I had promised we could buy DH some super fancy headphones he wanted (those Bose noise-cancelling ones), for his birthday gift, IF we sold the camera. So, the day we met the people to sell the camera we had Henry's 6 month pictures also scheduled. Well, by the time were done selling the camera, eating lunch, etc. we were going to be very late for the picture appointment. DH called the stuido and we re-scheduled for the next day. We were already half-way to Minneapolis so I turned the car around and DH asks "Where are we going?" "To the Mall of America! To get you your headphones!" He about melted. He was soooooo excited. I figured, we don't get down there very often, so we are over half way and have nothing waiting for us at home...might as well go! So, we go and get his headphones (he LOVES them-he's an audio snob, ;) ) and we are walking around and DH steers me a certain direction.

"I want to take you to a certain store," he says.

"Barnes & Noble?" I ask, totally not thinking the obvious.

Then we round the corner and I see the logo.

"THE DISNEY STORE!"

:yay: :woohoo: :dance3:

IMG_4179Small.jpg

Henry really liked Squirt!
IMG_4167Small.jpg

We couldn't find much for Henry's size in boys clothing, so we didn't end up buying anything...but we did find this at Target-it's big right now, but should be good for the trip:

:yay:

keep me posted....i saw it....great deal...nice color too...i have red...wasnt my top pick....but actually easy to spot in MK stroller parking lot...lol.. (Dork alert...you SAW the photo) LOL

My DH swears by it..easy to handle...etc....it can endure WDW!!!!

That is so good to hear! I actually love the red! I'm kinda bold and "out there" though, so red always is a nice bold color to stand out-esp. in those stroller parking lots! :rotfl2: DH mentioned the other day he wants to go with this stroller, now we just have to work it into our budget.

Between Henry and Ava, you are going to need to rename this thread: The Cutest Dis Babies thread.

Aw, thanks! :)

We have a jungle bedroom too, with an emphasis on monkeys...lol I didn't want to do blue for a boy in case we had more children, then we wouldn't have to re-buy everything, and when I saw the jungle theme, I just went with it! The papasan we selected both wishing they made adult sizes! ;) He totally doesn't fit in it anymore, but is still a tad wobbly sitting up, so we use it a lot when we need to set him down for a bit!

Hopefully with all the Disney training he'll recognize a character or two. Even if he doesn't, hopefully he will still like them because they are big and cuddly! Despite me not being big on the chracters, those pictures of little ones with the characters are just priceless...!

And thank you for the compliment on Henry. :goodvibes He does the hands behind the head thing ALL the time, it's so funny! We went to get his 6 month pictures done and he only did it for the first shot because after that his arms were trying to reach for her camera!

I know I've said this before...but he is just the cutest! :) Love the training so far. I'd recommend the 5-cd set of Disney music to go along with it! :thumbsup2 I played it so much that my kids actually got sick of it and I had to back off for a while.

03-20-2008 - Dinner at Hollywood Studios

So as you all know, I have Mama Melrose on our list for dinner while we are at DHS. The decision was if we should do the Fantasmic Dinner Package or not.

I sent DH the link on allears for him to review and be the judge...and he wants to go! :cheer2: I was a bit concerned with the dark side of the show, but after I thought about it, I figured, it's Disney-how dark can it be? And, Henry will still be at an age where he doesn't really get scared anyway. Plus, I really want to see it, just to see it - and I hear great reviews!! I'm really excited to book it!

I can't believe it's already the end of March - time is flying! Pretty soon I'll be making those ADRs. I can't wait to figure out our weekly schedule as soon as those EMHs are posted!

Soon I'm going to consolidate all the baby tips I have learned by messaging people, people sharing with me directly, reading TRs and doing lots of digging. One thing I still want to do baby-wise is make a packing list specifically for Henry.

:lmao: that is hilarious!

Good idea about the Disney music! I don't think we have any yet...Baby Einstein, VeggieTales and more, but no Disney!

And thank you for the compliment on my little guy. Your kids are adorable too! I love all the pics on your TR!

03-20-2008 - iListen
I forgot to mention this on my above post...I've found the DIS Podcast. I'm SO addicted! I love it!!! On the days I work from home I have it playing on my laptop while I work. It's full of awesome tidbits and I find myself laughing constantly with these guys. If you haven't checked it out yet, do so! It's awesome!

Is it Tuesday yet?
