03-19-2008 - More Disney Training
Sorry for the hiatus there...real life got in the way!

I did make a post, but apparently the DIS ate it or somethin'....
Well, things here have been cookin' along. Henry is undergoing some rigorous Disney Training, and with the great help of DisneyBride03!
First, I mentioned his second course involved a Pooh bib....and it was a bit messy! DH and I were grocery shopping and Henry was wanting to grab everything and anything in the cart, I walked past a display of Winnie the Pooh bibs (and Tigger too!) and couldn't believe they were only $1! I grabbed one off the rack and gave it to DS to play with while we shopped. He took right to it, of course!

Instantly went into the mouth!
When we got home it was dinner time, so I pulled out the sweet potatoes and put on his new favorite bib:
Maybe he'll make a good association here...Winne the Pooh/good food, Winne the Pooh=good.
The next course involved DisneyBride03. You can see her adorable daughter in the post above wearing an adorable shirt "I (Mickey Head) Mom". Well, DisneyBride posted this picture on another thread we are both part of (as well as several others of you!), the "AKL Lite" thread on the Community Boards. When I saw the picture, I thought it was so cute! I asked DisneyBride where she had gotten it....and naturally, it was the
Disney Store! I live in a very small town, no Disney store is all that close to us. I think the closest is the Mall of America. And, the shirt was a Valentine's Day promo type-so chances are they would be sold out. And, I had no idea when we'd be returning to the Mall of America...so I was a bit bummed.
BUT THEN, DisneyBride said she would SEND it to me when Ava was done with it!!!! WHAT?! Did I read that right?! This woman, who I don't even know other than online, is going to mail me this great shirt! Wow! I was dumbfounded and shocked. How incredibly generous.
The day the box arrived, we found more than just the shirt too...we found...
A Mickey hat and two luggage tags:
The hat is Mickey in a hot air balloon - it's super cute!
Henry's first Disney dollar:
AND the awesome shirt!
And of course it was all wrapped up in Disney bags, and a Disney box which DisneyBride had decorated with Henry's name. Henry really enjoyed playing with the box!
I was overcome with her generosity! Thank you again DisneyBride and Miss Ava! I can't wait for Henry to wear the shirt...and I'll be sure to take LOTS of pics!
I also mentioned I took pictures of Henry's first exposure to the Disney channel....here they are:
And yes, he has his hands behind his head and his ankles crossed. And I promise, I did not pose him like this! It's his trademark...he sleeps like this too!
He was so into it, he didn't even look at me with the camera, and usually he can't take his eyes off the camera!
All he needs is a cold beverage next to him, eh?
And the same day we did the Disney channel I also took pictures of him playing with his musical tigger:
I love you Tigger!
So, lots of Disney exposure. We will be continuing these courses on a regular basis.
Oh! And I almost forgot! My DH had this big fancy camera for a software project he did years ago. The camera was basically just collecting dust, as we have a nice hand held one now, and his old camera is a professional grade. In short-we didn't need it. So we sold it on craigslist. I had promised we could buy DH some super fancy headphones he wanted (those Bose noise-cancelling ones), for his birthday gift, IF we sold the camera. So, the day we met the people to sell the camera we had Henry's 6 month pictures also scheduled. Well, by the time were done selling the camera, eating lunch, etc. we were going to be very late for the picture appointment. DH called the stuido and we re-scheduled for the next day. We were already half-way to Minneapolis so I turned the car around and DH asks "Where are we going?" "To the Mall of America! To get you your headphones!" He about melted. He was soooooo excited. I figured, we don't get down there very often, so we are over half way and have nothing waiting for us at home...might as well go! So, we go and get his headphones (he LOVES them-he's an audio snob,

) and we are walking around and DH steers me a certain direction.
"I want to take you to a certain store," he says.
"Barnes & Noble?" I ask, totally not thinking the obvious.
Then we round the corner and I see the logo.
"THE DISNEY STORE!"
Henry really liked Squirt!
We couldn't find much for Henry's size in boys clothing, so we didn't end up buying anything...but we did find this at Target-it's big right now, but should be good for the trip:
