Swmhc: The theme for our wedding/honeymoon was that my expectations were so high, I was bound to be disappointed. I'd heard everyone rave about Rosie and how her team was able to craft these amazing bouquets so I was prepared to be blown away. I think part of the problem was that I was handed the bouquet approximately thirty seconds before we were to walk downt the aisle and when it wasn't the color I was expecting, I panicked a wee bit in my head (I had asked her to do a deep purple and as you can see, they came out more of a lighter lavendar. Part of that isn't her fault; I imagine that's as deep of a purple as she could get with hydrangeas. BUT I wish I could've seen them in advance, at least a color swatch).
As far as the silk flowers go, I was also a little offput because they looked so fake when I was first handed them. For some reason, in my head I assumed that since they were coming from Disney, they would be amazingly lifelike. But they were just like every silk flower I'd ever seen. Like I said earlier, I was just glad that didn't come across in the pictures. If I had to do it again, I would still go with silk just because it made the MK photo shoot two days after the wedding AND transporting them back and forth that much easier. Does that help? PM if you want more details...
curiouser, did you notice that there were a LOT of couples with the Just Married pins? I don't know if it's because we were just noticing them or what, but we saw TONS. Hope you didn't end up freaking any of the poor brides out!
general disclaimer: it may seem both in my mini-trippie and my (eventuall) full-length one that I'm quite the complainer, catalogging all the little things that went wrong. But really, I'm just trying to be as honest as possible so other brides out there can learn from our experiences. We really did have an awesome wedding and honeymoon overall, honest Injun! I could not have wished for a more beautiful day, with close friends and family, and getting to spend an entire week exploring Disney with the love of my life!
