I have a 6 year old and we won't be checking in until late, like we probably won't be in bed until 10:30pm. The next morning MK has morning extra magic hour however the park is a red day. Do, I bother to get up super early and go, or plan MK for another day? This will be 3rd week of April.

I would plan the MK for another day. I think it is a huge mistake to start your vacation exhausted and a red day on top of that would not be good. I also use easywdw and touring plans as guides to help me plan which parks on which days.
Good Luck

I wouldn't plan to be up early for rope drop. If you guys happen to be awake due to excitement then by all means go for it. However, plan to leave early and get some rest so you can start the next day refreshed.

I would choose a different park to go to. Even if everyone is up early, your 6 year old might get tired more quickly from less sleep and you might want to cut that day shorter. I would go to a park that either is a green day or a park that might not be a full day for you all.

I would plan MK for a green day for sure. it's the park where that matters the most IMHO. Also agree with AFwifelife that a park that won't necessarily be an entire day - maybe HS or AK? would be a good choice after your flight.

Thank you for all the responses! We will do Epcot that day and MK on a green day:-)
