I need some help. My son let me know last night that he is getting June 30th (his birthday), July 1st and 2nd off work. He asks me, "We're going to Universal, right?"
"Sure, son, I normally don't need this much time to plan or anything!"

Here's some of my choices:

On-site
RPR $189 APH rate and/or possibly could use my 2 night stay award.
PBH $199 APH and/or possibly could use my 2 night stay award.
HRH $214

Offsite:
Omni Championsgate $116 Hotwire
Rosen Shingle Creek $119 Travelzoo
Homewood Suites $89
Best Western Movieland $55

I'm leaning toward PBH if they take the 2 night certificate and I pay $199 for one night. The runner up is Omni. We don't need FOTL.
I haven't stayed too current on the boards. There is a meet? Or as my kids say "Dis Meat".
Hope my boss is cool with me taking off.

Hi, MF. I can tell you that when I had a free night cert at PBH, it was not good at the other 2 resorts, so I hope you have better luck than me!

Isn't Shingle Creek the resort that poached all the RPR people? Why not check that out. Save the cert for Christmas week or NYE or Spring Break (or does he have them blacked out?!).

Here's hoping you get the time off!

I have stay award certificates at both RPR and PBH. I think the Shingle Creek can be had cheaper through SkyAuction but that might take a little time.
I haven't seen the boss yet today?

I booked PBH. This is the 5th anniversary celebrating his birthday at PBH.:cake: :cake: :cake: :cake: :cake:

we stayed at the doubletree on major blvd and rates were cheap and its only a 10 minute walk to citywalk and its a clean place but the only draw back is you have to pay 5 dollars a night to park.

Yep... the "meat" is Friday, June 29th @ Maragaritaville (inside) at 2:30. Not sure how long we will be there......

According to the weather report I have...looks like Thunderstorms that day! ARGHH!

I would think that onsite would be a much better idea for that weekend.

Why don't you need FOTL?

We have been to everything a million times. My kids are more single rider friendly on MIB than FOTL anyway. We are staying at PBH for 2 nights though. Bob opted to stay at Omni for his birthday so he could show his sister the lazy river ride.
