So, it turns out that I am going to be taking my two kids (ages 10 and 13) to Disney without my husband, due to our dog who has health issues. I don't have a problem with solo parenting (well, I do but that is for another thread!! haha) but I am wondering if others can share their experience with having 3 people for all the attractions. I am imagining that I will be going by myself on some rides, with my girls going together. Can anyone tell me which rides this will be an issue for? Thanks!

7DMT
Tomorrowland Speedway
Maybe BTMRR
TSMM
RnR
Spaceship Earth
Test Track
EE

Those are the big ones I can think of off the top of my head. Your girls are old enough that I don't think there would be a problem with them riding w/o an adult in the car. But others may have more insight into that. I hope your dog feels better.

Can you get 3 in the omnimover rides? I can never remember lol. Also, as per park rules - your girls are fine to ride everything on their own (if they want to of course)

We go as a 3 and I always end up sat alone! I really don't mind, apart from on 7DMT because the cars are so small I do feel a bit like I'm having a snuggle with a stranger....

Yes you can definitely go as a 3 on little mermaid, Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion etc. Also Test Track you sit in a 3.

Actually test track is 3 across so that one won't be an issue.

We are a family of 3 and can all sit together on lots of rides. One of the reasons I love Disney! Only additional one I can think of not mentioned so far is Buzz. You can fit in 3 in one car but there are only 2 guns so it is probably better to split. Spaceship Earth is 2 per seat but all 3 of you will be in the same ride vehicle which is nice. Have a great trip and sorry about your dog.

We go as 3...many rides fit the 3 of us (myself, DW and DD11) and we mostly take turns riding with our daughter and the other one riding solo on the rides that fit two. DD does find it more fun to ride with me because I'm all in for screaming and joking around but we make sure that Mom gets time with her too lol.

We are in the same boat for our next trip. DH has decided he is "disneyed out" and is staying home when my boys (11 & 12) go in August. We were just talking about this this week. I told him we were now an uneven number so there were several rides where I would be riding alone (hoping he might change his mind but no dice). I did not know that you could get three people in the omnimover rides (HM, PP etc) so that is good to know.

It really depends on how big your boys are. My twin sister and I could fit in HM in one doom Buggy with my mom until we were about 16 but my mom is tiny and we were tall but skinny at that age. If anyone is bigger you may not fit as well

We are a family of three, and we ride together, but sometimes that means one of us is in a different row. Not a big deal, Disney is really good about putting you in rows next to each other, and really, you'll be busy enjoying the ride, so even if you are alone it's not like you'll be bored and lonely for a long time.

But even on the rides where there are only two seats together, it doesn't always have to be you riding alone. Do what we do -- switch it up. Sometimes DH and I ride together and DS 13 rides alone. Sometimes DH rides alone, sometimes I ride alone.

The good thing is that your kids are old enough to ride unaccompanied, so you can go on everything, even if you can't always sit together. Do your kids get along well? Perhaps they'd like to sit together.

That's what we do. We had two adults and a child. We would switch off riding with each other. And since we tend to go during less busy times, often the person riding alone, was actually alone.

They try to keep your party together, so if you're a group of 3, most of the time they will let you squeeze in together. If you won't fit, the CM are great at letting you know "two to a row" or whatever.
