Planning another magical 5th birthday

The bows are adorable! Great job!!!

Hope Abi is feeling better today, pink eye is no fun - our house managed to get it 2 days before Christmas last year, yuck!

Your plans look great, hope you can get Ohana switched up - that app would be amazing if it works, you'll have to let us know!

I love the pumpkin bows!! They are soooooo cute and bouncy!!! (I love pumpkins!!) I love the dolls as well, you get a great job! Love the Ariel and Tink and Rapunzel! :flower3:

Nooooo! Poor Abi with the Pink eye. That sucks and just the worry of contamination! My girlfriend's 2 year old just got hand/foot and mouth disease from his daycare. So oozing blisters  and she has a new born so they are super careful about sanitizing everything and its tiring!. :sad1: Hope Abi feels better! (And maybe just intime for school next week?! lol)

Oh man I love hot dogs rolled in dough!! nomnomnom

Thanks! I love the pumpkins ones as well.
It really sucked. I was pretty much walking around behind her for 24 hours sanitizing everything. And spraying Lysol everywhere. She was so sick of me doing that!
We went to a condo last night (Doug's family has a week at a condo in Park City every year and we each get one night) and originally I would have left this morning to bring her back to school since it is only about 45 minutes away. But because of the cold and getting over pink eye I let her stay there today and she will just have to go back tomorrow.

if they didn't tell you this at the dr--here's a tip for getting the eye drops in easier, or at least it works better for me and our girls and the boys when they were little. have her lay down and close her eyes. put the drops in the corner of her eyes, closest to her nose. then she can either blink quick a couple times to get the drops in or you can gently pull up her top lid and "blink" for her a couple times. takes away the awful waiting of dropping the medicine in and they don't have to look at it coming. when I do it that way, I don't feel like I have to wrestle them down to put it in. :thumbsup2

Oh my gosh!! Thank you so much for sharing this tip. I have never heard that before and it worked so much better!!! That was a lifesaver.

Love the bows!!! Too cute, good job!

Thanks!

Sounds like a great day at Epcot! I hope you are able to switch your 'Ohana reservation to the next night so you can spend more time in Epcot!

Your ribbons came out so cute! I love them all, and the girls as Minnie are adorable!!

I hope Abi feels better!

Thanks!
I hope so too! If not we will still have an awesome time at Epcot and I am sure get most of what we want to done.. but it would definitely work out better the next night.

Oh yuck! Getting sick for holidays is terrible! I hate it when that happens. I am so paranoid now about one of them getting sick before our trip. Well- Abi since she is the one exposed to everything at school.
I will let you know if it does work. I heard about it and thought okay if it works it is totally worth the money, if it doesn't at least I am only out 3.99.

Doug's parents have a timeshare they use in Park City every year. If you have never heard of Park City, it is a really teeny little town up in the mountains about 25 minutes out of Salt Lake City, Utah. It is about 45 minutes from our house. It is where the famous Sundance Film Festival is held each year.

They are in Hong Kong for 18 months but we all got to use it again this year. We each got to pick one night at the condo. (Doug has 5 siblings, 4 of which live near us so we had to take turns)
We chose Sunday night.
There wasn't much to do on Sunday night and although the girls and I stayed up there all of Monday as well, we didn't do too much. Abi was getting over her pink eye and really needed some rest. So apart from going on a long walk around town we mainly just enjoyed the big condo and relaxed.

It had a full kitchen so we took groceries and ate all our meals at "home".

There were two rooms, one for the girls and one for us. And then in the middle of the two rooms was a big family room (this was where the kitchen was as well. It had a fireplace and two big window seats.

The girls room had a King sized bed, sofa couch, another tv, a kitchenette and table and another full bathroom.

The view out our windows wasn't of the big mountains but a nice little stream with lots of trees.

Mine and Doug's room had a King sized bed, sitting area, another tv, a huge jacuzzi tub, vanity area, and a full bathrrom.

Monday I spent most of my time curled up under a cozy blanket with the fireplace on and my nose in a book.

We were a little sad to come home after only a day but it was so nice to get away for a little while. Also, I'm pretty certain this condo was bigger than our house. So that was fun!
And then when we got home this was in the mailbox:

Wow! beautiful condo! What a nice night away, even if it was just for relaxing! Also I whole heartedly thumbs up on spending a day nose deep in a book!

Yay! Magical Express!! You know what that means! Disney is just around the corner!

It really was so nice! I agree. It had been weeks since I had been able to just sit and read for a few hours. That was extremely nice.
I have wondered when I would get our Magical Express mail because this is our first time using ME. I was so happy when I opened the mailbox and saw it!!

Looks like a fun little getaway, and Whoooo for Mickey Mail!!!!

It was fun! I am so excited. I keep opening up my binder and pulling out the luggage tags and booklet just to look at them. :rotfl:

Mickey mail--that's exciting!!!

It is!! :cool1:

It's nice to just get away and relax, even if it's for a short time! And yay for getting Mickey Mail!! :goodvibes

It really is so nice to have a day every once in a while with no real responsibilities!

Before I get to my next touring plan, I need to modify my HS day!
I logged in yesterday and changed my Little Mermaid fast pass+ at DHS to the Frozen sing along.
The plan will still be the same to head to LM pretty early in the am so I am hoping I won't need a FP for it. I got the sing along for early afternoon. Hopefully it will be worth it!

Okay- so onto Day Six!
Day 6 is our only Animal Kingdom day.
We will arrive by rope drop.
I wanted to get a FP+ for the Safari for the morning but wasn't able to get one until 1050-1150 but I think we will still head straight back to the safari and see if there is much of a line or not. That way if there isn't we can change the later FP or just ride it again.

Then we have a FP+ to the Lion King show at 930-950.
We will probably do the Rafiki planet watch train/ conservation center this time because we didn't last time.
Then we will hit Tough to be a Bug and then lunch at Flame Tree BBQ (never tried it).
After lunch we will head to the boneyard to let the kids play for a few minutes and then ride Triceratop spin and dinosaur.
Then we will use our FP+ to ride Expedition Everest. I know my dad and Maddy won't want to ride so we will probably use rider swap and then be able to ride again later.

After EE we will see the Nemo show and Flights of wonder.

I know that I for sure want to pick up a jalapeno pretzel along the way at some point today. It was my favorite snack of the whole trip last time!

If I can change 'Ohana to tonight then we will head over to Poly, eat, and then stick around for the water pageant. If not, then we will go back to POP, eat dinner at the food court and then head over to Beaches and Cream at 8:20 for the Kitchen Sink.

Here are our two biggest ice cream lovers (my mom and Abi) with our kitchen sink last time:

I think you guys will be fine without the FP for Little Mermaid!

Mmm love Flame Tree BBQ!

Sounds like a good plan :)

I agree you wont need the FP for LM anyway, its only like 15 mins long and theres so many showings throughout the day anyway!

Oh my gosh, that ice cream is just so MASSIVE!! I dont think we could ever do it. I am not huge on ice cream as is, so that just looks impossible to me! But fun to try, I am sure! They hubby wants to get the mini sink when we go! ;)

Your AK day looks great to me, and I am sure you will have no issues on getting on the safari at RD either.

Ooh good to hear. We haven't been to Flame Tree but I have heard good things. So it's good to hear others love it.

Yeah that was what I was thinking about LM and once they announced the sing along was going to continue I thought maybe I should jump on that just in case.
It really was massive. We hardly made a dent in it with the 6 of us last time but now that Maddy is older I think she... well no she doesn't eat that much... we probably still won't make much of a dent in it. :rotfl: I kind of wanted to do the mini version and have the keepsake this time... but I was outvoted. Everyone else really wanted to do the big one again. I may be able to change their minds by then though. We will see. :goodvibes

I love that jalapeno pretzel! Its sooo good!

Day 6 is looking good! I love Animal Kingdom its so beautiful! :goodvibes

I know! I can't wait to have another one!
I love Animal Kingdom but everyone else is kind of take it or leave it. I have no idea why! Doug suggested we skip it and have an extra day somewhere else. I was like are you kidding me. No freaking way.
One of my favorite moments last time was when I got all sappy on the safari and started crying watching a baby elephant chase its mommy. :rotfl:

Day Seven!
We will be up bright and early and out the door to make rope drop at
MAGIC KINGDOM again!
Today will be a day to ride rides that we haven't done yet and the ones we want to do again. We will probably spend most of our time in Fantasyland. I think we will catch the parade today as well.
We have fastpasses for Peter Pan at 10-11, Little Mermaid again at 11-12, and our first 7DMT at 9-10. I can't wait to ride that ride! :cool1:
I think we will have lunch at Cosmic Rays because we have never been there and my dad is interested in it... BUT if we can get the FP for lunch at BOG then that will go out the window and we will be lunching at BOG.:rotfl:

We have dinner reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern at 5pm.

So, this should be another pretty laid back day at MK. I hope we are able to get a lot done. I wasn't planning on going on a Monday but then all of the crowd calenders seem to say that this will be a low day at MK... so we are hoping for the best.

It is a party night, so after dinner we will head right out of the park and back to our rooms.
I am kind of hoping that my mom and I will leave the boys with the little girls and go have a girls night at Downtown Disney and do some solo shopping... it is their last night at Disney World so I think that would be a fun way to end their stay. My mom is my best friend and we have SO much fun together. If we are able to do this then we would probably stay out way too late... but tomorrow is a sleep in day so it's all good!

Yay for MK day!!! Oh my gosh, did you see the new 7DMT news?!?! Starting TODAY you get video clips of your ride with your memory maker! Squeeee!

Sounds like a good MK day! It would be so nice if you could have some solo time with your Mom, hope you're able to work that out!

:cool1::cool1::cool1: WE ARE PAID OFF!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I went to Target and bought a ton of gift cards yesterday to finish paying off our balance. I am so excited to finally see 0.00 next to balance on MDE! Woo hoo!!
