Planning another magical 5th birthday

Okay, Okay so I am looking at all my plans now. I think I will keep doing my touring plans and mention my FP+ in those but for the plans I have already done on here:

For our Hollywood Studios day I was able to get Little Mermaid, Star Tours, and Toy Story Mania- all 3 that I wanted that day and in the order I want them!!
The times are a little off.. but I think it will work out just fine.

For our first Magic Kingdom day- Maddy's birthday- I wanted Little Mermaid, Enchanted Tales with Belle and 7DMT. I did not get 7DMT for that day so I got one for Peter Pan instead. I was able to get the other two though and for times before our CRT, in between CRT and BBB, and right after BBB. So that worked out great.

I will get to our next days touring plans in the next post!

For our 4th day we will be hitting Magic Kingdom again!
We have a pre-park opening at
DisneyWorldCrystalPalace101.jpg

Crystal Palace!
I have thought about changing this to our last day if I could find one but I don't know. My mom and dad would have to pay OOP for this one but I think they still want to go to it.
As soon as we leave breakfast and park is open I want to head into Adventureland/ Frontierland. First stop will probably be BTMR to try to get it without FP+ (since I couldn't get one).
Then we will spend the morning riding Pirates, Splash, Jungle Cruise, Tiki Room, and Swiss Family Treehouse.
I am planning for lunch at Columbia Harbour House and then it will be time for our FP+ at Haunted Mansion.
After this we will do the riverboat (unless we did it before lunch) and then head over to Tomorrowland to do Carousel of progress, TTA, and our FP+ at Space Mtn.
Then we will head to Barnstormer for our FP there. Originally I didn't think of doing one here but it was one of our only lines on our last trip so when I couldn't get BTMR I just made the decision to get one for Barnstormer.
We will probably be getting close to our dinner reservations so we will just ride/ shop/ whatever we want to do until our 5pm BOG dinner!
After dinner we may have time to catch a few rides or do some shopping but we will be leaving pretty fast as it is a Christmas party night.
So we will get back to our rooms fairly early and will probably just relax and enjoy a laid back evening.

Yay! I'm glad you got all the fastpasses you wanted! And your plans for the day at MK sound great. We always love breakfast there--the girls love the characters and we love the puffed French toast! :rotfl:

Yay!!!! It's done!!!

Plans look great! And I agree on the barnstormer, that little bugger was one of the longest lines we stood in! Blah!

Thanks! we are very excited! It is so good to have it done.

Sounds like a good day at MK!!! :goodvibes

I hope so!

And of course Abi had to ride it three or four times in a row... so we spent a LOT of time there. :rotfl:

Saturday we will be up bright and early for our first day at
Photo0252FourBySix.jpg

Epcot!
My second favorite park.
This will be our only day there while my parents are with us so we need to pack in a LOT today and our two extra days later in the trip will be able to be more laid back.
We have a pre-park opening breakfast at Akurshus. I couldn't get exactly 8am but I got 830am. So I am assuming that we won't quite be done by the time the park opens.
But as soon as we are done we will head straight to Test Track and see what the line is like and try to ride it without FP+.
Then we will head over to Soarin' to use our FP+ for 920-1020.
After that it is straight back over to Mission Space to ride the green side (I think we will have to do rider swap with Maddy)
By this time World Showcase should be open. And it should be close to lunchtime.
We will be eating quick service in Mexico and exploring that pavilion thoroughly. For some reason, last time we were there we skipped right over it. :confused3 So it will be fun to ride the ride and check out the pyramid.

When we leave there we will make our way around the World Showcase stopping wherever we feel we want to explore. Mainly, where my parents are interested in since they won't have another day here.
I know for sure that they want to:
Explore Norway- however we know now that Maelstrom will be closed to be turned into a Frozen attraction and I'm sure the whole country will be pretty closed off. We will have to see what it is like when we are there.
The other thing we missed last time are all the movies in the different countries so I know we will be stopping to visit China and watch the movie there.
Whether we will meet Mulan this day or not depends on what our time is looking like and if there is a line. Otherwise we can do it another day.
We will probably walk around in Germany a it.
Then I know we want to do Japan.

We will be doing Pick a Pearl again. Last time we did it for Abi. This time I am going to let Maddy do it. I will also get a pearl but I am going to let Abi pick mine so she can have the fun again. My mom is going to do it too.
I bought all of us some little pearl cage carriages on ebay so we will be able to put all of our pearls in those after we are done. (I will take along the pearl from last time.)

We will visit France for some yummy snacks and watch their movie.

And visit Canada and watch their movie.

We will explore the UK for sure.

So, once we have made it through all the countries they really want to see it should be mid afternoon. We are planning on checking out the Ellen ride. I know it is super long so we want to save it for almost last.

Then we will use our FP+ if we need it for Spaceship Earth.

We will have to leave the park at 5-530ish to make our way over to the Polynesian for our 6:40 dinner at 'Ohana. I am super excited about this reservation because we have never eaten here.
However, I don't know why I made it for this night! I would much rather have it the next night after Animal Kingdom when the park is closing early anyway so we could have more time at Epcot and maybe be able to catch Illuminations with my parents.

So, between now and then I will try to change 'Ohana to the next night. If I can't, that's okay. But if I can, I have a backup reservation for late that night for Beaches and Cream. My parents really want to try the Kitchen Sink again. If we are able to change 'Ohana then we will explore more of Future World in Epcot, watch Illuminations, and then go get ice cream.

If we do go ahead and go to 'Ohana then we will have our dinner and then go outside to find a spot to watch the Electrical Water Pageant.

Oooooh I hope you get to change Ohana! Taking on the Kitchen Sink would be awesome!! And times do come up! I have been stalking it daily for a better time myself so i have seen times become available!

Also congrats on the FP+! Its hard choosing times 60 days out but I still prefer this then needing to make rope drop to get FP+ for the high indemand rides. Poo to A&E though but atleast it worked out for the next day.

Times going to start creeping up on you now though! :thumbsup2

I signed up for the alert through Kenny the Pirate. You pay 3.99 and supposedly it watches for the reservations you give it (as many as you want) and will email/ text you as soon as one becomes available so you can log on and grab it. I haven't seen anything yet and did get a little nervous so I check every time I am on the computer too.
I am so excited to have FP+ done. I agree. It is so much nicer to be able to get to the park and follow a plan already set rather than having to run ahead to get the paper FP.
I was thinking the same thing. Because it seems like all the September/ October peeps were just barely making your FP+ and now the trips are happening and around the corner!:cool1:

Wow! I hadn't heard about the reservation watch with Kenny the Pirate. Weird that I haven't seen it mentioned before. Well my fingers are crossed for you!

yes! Time has started to go by fast! And soon it will be your turn! Waaahoo!!

I read about it on facebook - mentioned by WDW prep school. She said she doesn't bother with making ADR's at 180 days. She just uses his app. It's called Fetch.
I'm not sure I would ever leave my ADR's up to it completely. But we will see how it goes for finding one after the fact.

This past week I gathered a bunch of supplies and sat down to figure out how to make ribbon sculpture bows.
photo3-1.jpg

Of course, the main reason I wanted to do this was when I decided there were a few that I wanted for our trip. And when I priced them out it was over $50 for only about 6-8 bows. So I wanted to see if I could do it. I got all the supplies for around $15.
Tinkerbell was my first attempt. I did two. Then I did Aurora. I hated the way she turned out. (The one on the top left.) So I tried again, and I like the second one. Then Rapunzel.

Next up:
Hula girls, little girls dressed in Minnie inspired outfits (supposed to be Abi and Maddy), a Sofia the first, and Belle.

Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, Anna, and Elsa:

Then I did Ariel and Snow White:

At that point I moved past Disney and took requests. Abi asked for me to make bows to attach some mini ponies to:

Then I made some holiday ones:
Pumpkins, ghosts, and turkeys
photo11-1.jpg

Christmas trees and a Donotello for Maddy:
photo12-1.jpg

This was pretty fun. I was able to make so many and still have a ton of the supplies left so it was definitely more cost effective.

Two posts in a row!
I wanted to quickly get on our movie night from last night while I have a moment.
Last night we did Snow White.
Abi came home from school with Pink eye on Friday so it has been a hectic weekend so far with sickness, doctor visit, and sanitizing everything. So I knew it was going to have to be super easy and laid back.
So, I made split pea soup
photo13-1.jpg

"Seven Dwarves in blankets"
photo14-1.jpg

and I bought a frozen apple pie and some apple juice
photo15-1.jpg

It was all yummy.
Then Maddy just built with blocks while we watched and Abi just rested on the couch under a bunch of blankets.

oh, I hope abi feels better soon. I've always hated when the boys I nanny have gotten pink eye. putting those drops in are awful!

the ribbon bows are so cute! I love the hula girls. I've made some of those too! once you figure it out, it's pretty addictive, isn't it?

what a great movie night! I like the 7 dwarves in blankets--so cute!

and your epcot day sounds fun! I can't wait to see what you get at pick a pearl!

Seriously! It is so bad. It took at least 20 minutes to get her to let me do them the first time. She was so afraid they were going to hurt when I dropped them in her eyes.
Thankfully, so far Maddy seems fine. They gave me extra drops just in case it spread. So far so good.
It is addictive! I had a lot of fun doing all of them. Some had instructions and some I just had to wing it but it was a fun thing to do. I feel like I went a little crazy though and they may have bows for every occasion at Disney now. :rotfl:
Thanks! It was a nice night even with the sickies. I just needed something easy to whip together with easy cleanup!
I can't wait to do Pick a Pearl again. It was really fun last time to see what she got. I am excited about our matching necklaces. :thumbsup2

I love the pumpkin bows!! They are soooooo cute and bouncy!!! (I love pumpkins!!) I love the dolls as well, you get a great job! Love the Ariel and Tink and Rapunzel! :flower3:

Nooooo! Poor Abi with the Pink eye. That sucks and just the worry of contamination! My girlfriend's 2 year old just got hand/foot and mouth disease from his daycare. So oozing blisters  and she has a new born so they are super careful about sanitizing everything and its tiring!. :sad1: Hope Abi feels better! (And maybe just intime for school next week?! lol)

Oh man I love hot dogs rolled in dough!! nomnomnom

if they didn't tell you this at the dr--here's a tip for getting the eye drops in easier, or at least it works better for me and our girls and the boys when they were little. have her lay down and close her eyes. put the drops in the corner of her eyes, closest to her nose. then she can either blink quick a couple times to get the drops in or you can gently pull up her top lid and "blink" for her a couple times. takes away the awful waiting of dropping the medicine in and they don't have to look at it coming. when I do it that way, I don't feel like I have to wrestle them down to put it in. :thumbsup2

Sounds like a great day at Epcot! I hope you are able to switch your 'Ohana reservation to the next night so you can spend more time in Epcot!

Your ribbons came out so cute! I love them all, and the girls as Minnie are adorable!!

I hope Abi feels better!
