Hi,
Hoping that those of you that have gone to the resorts recently can help me with some information. Our last trip was 4+ years ago and there's been a lot of changes due to Covid. Our vacation will be in March of 2022. I've been told that some of the resorts are closed, is this true? What's the situation with dining plans? I realize March is a Iong ways off but I'm curious. Hope all of you have had Wonderful vacations this summer despite the Covid. Thanks

I don't think this is going to help you a lot but I changed my plans from this Oct to Oct of '22. I'm hoping things will be more back to normal by then and procedures that people are finding lacking due to budget cuts will readjust themselves. But I decided to do this months ago and moved my reservation to the cheapest, standard view level, at the Wilderness Lodge which is always the first room level to fill up. It is already no longer available so I think a lot of people are already making plans for next year. In othe words March is not all that long a ways off and you need to get as much info from Disney or your travel agent as soon as possible and make your plans so as to not finding yourself struggling as your vacation dates approach. I'm looking out for dining plans but have seen nothing and what really hurts is than my favorite dining spots have seriouslly reduced their menus. This is one of the things I hope changes by the time I return.

By March 2022 all resorts will be back open (unless, of course, there are some as yet unannounced construction projects underway).

We have been told the dining plan will be back, but haven't yet been told when, or how it will be structured.

The other big thing to know is that in addition to having park tickets, you also have to have a reservation for admission to the park.

By March 2022, all resorts should be open. There hasn't been any announcements regarding when dining plans will be back. You now need to make park reservations in addition to purchasing tickets using the reservation system online. I hope you have a wonderful trip! :)

As others have said, there was a phased re-opening to the resorts that includes not just the resort themselves, but the amenities (like the dining locations). Disney has done a decent job of moving people around if their hotel was not available, but they should all be open by then. There are a few soft refurbishments going on, but that's business as usual.

There have been rumblings about the dining plans returning, but little hard facts as yet.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
